Struggling to find nice gym gear!

Hello,
I go to the gym a lot and do Pilates and Yoga too. I am really struggling to find nice, suitable matching tops and bottoms. I usually but cropped leggings which are about the right length for me. Top-wise I wear a sports bra and don’t want it showing so no racer backs. I don’t want to show off my upper arms so bracelet length or short sleeves are good. Crop tops no good and loose tops not ideal - no one wants to see what’s underneath when I’m upside down!
Please can you recommend some nice, pretty sets? I’m 58.
Thanks!

TK Maxx is always worth a look, they often have a lot of items that are a bit different. Usually plenty of well fitting yoga/pilates wear & lots of brands in one place.

top from esprit?
Or under armour is nice quality for the price here

justaweeone · 02/05/2019 19:02

H & M for tops , sometimes I layer with a thin racer back vest top so even if the top rides up you're always cover if you see what I mean
Nike black capris always- fab quality

@gwen, I am the woman who does not sweat much, so it's never been my concern. I am still wearing a cashmere jersey over my workout gear. The room is cold; I have wondered about hot bikram yoga. It's not an option near me but I would try it.

"I am the woman who does not sweat much"

Hmm. I can wear a normal top for 3 days so I think I also don't sweat much, but if you're exercising properly - you sweat!
What kind of exercise do you do?

Another vote for Bam. Lots of yoga stuff. Sales are good.

Flossyfloof · 03/05/2019 20:40

Bam looks great! More what I was thinking of, pretty colours and matchy matchy!! 😊

Intermediate/advanced Pilates... It's not cardio. But I didn't sweat much even when I ran. (I walk now: bad knees.)

I wear a body for yoga, I used to wear a shirt and tuck it in, it would always slip, bodies are much nicer. If walking about in workout gear, I usually wear an oversized hoody, which covers my arse, or a long t-shirt over the top.

I love Asos leggings, lovely high waist

ComedyBoobs · 04/05/2019 17:13

I get my (squat proof) gym gear from:
Asos 4505
Myprotein.com
Gymshark

Sports direct for sports bras.

Bam sounds interesting though...

h&M always has a selection of fitted t-shirts which coordinate with their leggings nicely. I know what you mean, the ones that will stay in place when you're bending over or upside down.
I would consider purchasing some leggings and a few t-shirts that coordinate rather than matching top and bottoms which looks a bit too much in my opinion!

Lotsofsausage · 04/05/2019 20:16

I mean H&M active wear btw

Lululemon in the sale. Yoga leggs for amazing leggings that don’t budge. They’re a small business but the customer service is fab yogaleggs.com/product-category/yoga-leggings/
