Leggings

Done to death I'm sure but MN's terrible search function on the app means I can't reliably check for recent threads!

I need new black leggings that are solid black, don't sag at the knee after 5 minutes and stay up. Where should I look?

Boden

FrederickCreeding · 30/04/2019 23:34

Sainsbury's!

LaLaLamp · 30/04/2019 23:37

2.50 in primarni

FusionChefGeoff · 01/05/2019 06:54

Thanks - but I'm afraid my Primani ones are more like footless tights as they are soooo thin.

Ah bollocks Boden black leggings are on a 2 week pre- order and I need to replace them for a trip next week

Mint velvet are nice and thick and have a wide waistband so they don't dig in. I like their skirted leggings for a layered look.

Deadheadstickeronacadillac · 01/05/2019 07:37

Asda

elQuintoConyo · 01/05/2019 07:39

H&M. Mine have lasted 3 years so far and are in great condition. They were about a tenner, I think.

Happycow · 01/05/2019 07:41

Sainsbury's!!!

The thick ones (£10 a pair, not the 2-pack). Mine have been worn, washed and tumble-tried into oblivion. Started to fade after 2 years but no sagging!

Flobochin · 01/05/2019 07:44

Leggings are so unattractive - why do you want them? Why do women wear them? They leave nothing to the imagination.

BarkandCheese · 01/05/2019 07:54

Another vote for Sainsburys.

Flobochin, I wear leggings under tunics, dresses and skirts, as do most other women I know. Do you think legs from the thigh down need to be swathed in loose fabric?

I wear them because I find them more comfortable than tights. Plus I have a couple of tattoos on my legs which leggings conceal where tights don’t.

BusySittingDown · 01/05/2019 07:57

Matalan.

MayFayner · 01/05/2019 08:02

Hush are the best ones I have and then probably Boden.

I’d love to try The Sainsbury’s ones as they always get mentioned on these threads but there’s no Sainsbury’s where I am.

Personally I have no desire for anybody to “imagine” what my body looks like under my clothes Confused

Leggings are comfortable and practical when appropriate. I don’t wear them to work or on a night out. Although I probably could if I wanted Grin

TheCanterburyWhales · 01/05/2019 08:13

I got some Boden after reading rave reviews on here and passed them straight to dd. Nowhere near long enough and a weird nappy effect round the crotch.

I have about 6 pairs, in varying stages of decay now, of M&S indigo range. They are thick and keep their shape and long enough for me. They also are proper sizes 10/12/14 etc unlike a lot of others.

cherryblossomgin · 01/05/2019 08:37

My best pairs are from next and matalan. I wear them a lot and they seem to last. I've had my next ones 2 years and they just got a hole in them but they lasted through work and my clumsy nature.

PinkDaydreams · 01/05/2019 08:40

I’ve got the Primark thick ones that suck everything in but I find that they fall down and I have to keep pulling them up (whilst doing a lunge to try get them as high up as possible 😂). Why do they fall down?! They aren’t too big and they aren’t too small. Is it because they are super elasticated?!

hammeringinmyhead · 01/05/2019 09:12

Sainsbury's Luxury ones. You can order online.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 01/05/2019 09:15

Sainsburys "luxury" ones

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 01/05/2019 09:16

Agree re Sainsbury’s.

Flobochin · 01/05/2019 09:19

@BarkandCheese what's wrong with tights?

MrsWidgerysLodger · 01/05/2019 09:22

Another vote for the Sainsbury's £10 a pair luxe ones. I've been through umpteen other pairs but these have lasted forever and have kept their shape. They're also gloriously opaque and don't go transparent at the bum like some others!

bookishtartlet · 01/05/2019 09:24

Flobochin, tights exacerbate my eczema but I like to wear dresses. No one asked your opinion, so let it go.

I also recommend Sainsbury's leggings!

Orchidflower1 · 01/05/2019 09:25

I know it’s been said but YY to Sainsbury’s. I’m not sure if you can get Sainsbury’s clothes delivered with shopping/ to Argos my neighbour was mentioning something about this the other day but I wasn’t 100% listening (Blush) but maybe worth investigating.

Also newlook too which can be ordered on line if you don’t have one near you or via amazon.

bobstersmum · 01/05/2019 09:30

Pep&co have them for £3, thicker than the primark ones and super soft and no sagging at all.

HappyGirlNow · 01/05/2019 10:43

Next high-waisted sport leggings are amazing!
