...what else do you use on your face? Do you use moisturiser/serum/toner? And is the OCM the only cleansing method you ever use?

I use oil as my first cleanser to remove grime, pollution etc then use a glycolic/retinoid toner whichever in using at that time.

I use face oil afterwards (rosehip) as my skin is always a bit dry after cleaning (and yes, I only use the OCM - have for years).

At night I use micellar water to remove makeup, then an oil or balm cleanser to actually cleanse. After that, Pixi toner, serum, oil, moisturiser.

In the morning I use either the Clarins Pure Melt gel, or Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip in the shower, then serum and moisturiser before makeup.

Oil-wise for cleansing, I really like the Chanel one - it’s about £30, but I am still on the bottle I bought this time last year, you really only need a tiny drop.

rainbowbash, which oil do you use? And do you find just using OCM has the same effect as an elaborate skincare routine with anti-ageing stuff etc?

Am considering making the switch but am nervous about it!

I made the switch tonight,so far it feels fab!

Looks like an OCM day... I just posted on another thread about OCM Grin

When I'm good, I will do OCM, followed by Paula's choice BHA gel and rosehip oil as a moisturiser. Ideally I should double cleanse, but I never do. Double cleanse is when you follow OCM with another cleanse using any lotion based cleanser.

On bad days, I use Simple wipes and just go to bed Blush Sad

I'm 35 and still haven't started using any serums or anti ageing stuff. I often wonder whether I should Confused

I have good skin, which would be better if stopped looking at mumsnet and went to bed at a decent time!

Evening I use DHC oil to cleanse and then the Face Shop rice water cleansing wash.

I then use alpha lipoic acid twice a week and plant-derived squalane on the other days (both The Ordinary).

When I’m knackered I use the Garnier micellar water with oil and rinse face with a flannel.

Mornings is spf and hyaluronic acid mixed together or Clinique moisture surge if my skin is thirsty. Spf on top.

Corcra · 29/04/2019 23:35

I have used ocm for a few years and it’s all I’d do now. I use loccitane.
I tone, serum and rosehip oil to moisturize at night.

MissParple · 29/04/2019 23:59

I oil cleanse and I use the good active products (tretinoin, Vit C, aha).

olive oil and castor oil. I get the latter of Amazon or eBay.
I don't really have much time for elaborate skin care nonsense but I think a good clean is important. I look my age but not awfully beyond. I take that a win Grin
