M&S code not working

I was sent an email from M&S with a 20% discount off clothes and beauty.
In store yesterday I saw two items I liked. But the code can only be used online
and companies wonder why they have to close stores
I went to purchase the items online today but am told the code doesn't work or is out of date. It's not out of date.
Anyone else had this problem lately ?

Have you contacted customer service? If it is a Sparks code you may need to add it to your card first.

Are these codes being issued by area ? Or to M&S Credit Card holders?

(Only asking as I'm - not recieved an email and my Sparks Card is waiting for new offers )

Is there a minimum spend ? Or is it limited to specific items in Beauty/Clothes

It's not a Sparks card as they don't do them in Ireland.
It's for clothes and beauty.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I contacted customer service on their live chat facility and they couldn't get the code to work either. What they did to get me the discount was, I paid the full price and they immediately refunded 20% to my bank account. They literally sorted it in about 2 minutes.

It's because I'm an Irish customer
They are not offering Irish customers the 20% off.
Are they allowed do this under EU law?

Brexit hasn't happened yet.

I'm not on Twitter or Facebook so can't go on the M&S Facebook or Twitter accounts to complain.
