Right, I need an outfit for a fancy ish Sunday lunch- full of trendy friends No budget as such - but desperate to look nice as I’m not trendy at all!

I'm the same, 30s, size 12, baby. My go to is midi skirt, t shirt and leather jacket or an animal print maxi dress for something a bit dressier.

Midi skirt with a nice pattern, silk front t shirt?

Or a midi dress with sleeves.

Flat shoes

Midi skirt and t shirt sounds nice. I’m struggling to find one not leopard print!! Where do you both shop?

Whistles have quite a few - yeah, quite a bit of animal print but also both very bright and more muted florals.

Topshop online - shops don't have much but the online offering is more extensive

New Look and M&S have reasonably priced midi skirts. If it's not for tomorrow then I ordered a few from Boohoo recently. I'm pear shaped so generally wear dark plain skirts but brighter more interesting tops.
Zara have some beautiful graphic t shirts at the minute.
