Having found 2 £20 notes in a coat pocket this morning (whoop whoop) I have decided to completely waste it on beauty products.
I am 50 perimeno, look like shite warmed up and have Boots and Superdrug at my disposal.
So what do I get my budgeteering beauties?

What’s your hair like?

Hair masques

£40 won't change that.

I would get s nice dress or have a meal out or so instead :)

I would buy

Nip and fab glycolic pads
The ordinary retinol
Bag balm udder cream - apparently Raquel welsh swears by it
A hair masque
And a bright lipstick with the change

Do you have a Holland and Barrett near you? It’s the penny sale at the moment. You can get two tubes of Weleda Skin Food for £13. It’s all natural, cruelty free and great for giving knackered face and body skin a break. I’m not into supplements as such but am obsessed with aduna baobab powder. Mix into water for a vit c boost. I do one heaped teaspoon in a 500ml water bottle and it tastes fab, it’s about £10 I think. Then with the rest lipstick or make up or something? Have fun!!

I second what RJ recommends.

Glycolic acid - The Inkey List and The Ordinary do cheap but great ones, use them kind of as a toner.
I couldn't believe the difference it made to my skin, took years off me and gave me perfectly clear, perfectly soft skin.

A face mask with hyaluronic acid in would be a good bet too for extra skin softness and rejeuvanation.
Or buy the hyaluronic acid the Inkey List or the Ordinary do, I've had great success adding some to my moisturiser each day.

For hair masks too I love the Hask ones (recommended on here) the Monoi and Coconut one smells amazing and I usually add a blob to my normal conditioner each time too.

Don't forget a nice body cream too, I love the OGX Coffee and Coconut one (smells like caramel) but I'm not sure if you can get it at Boots or Superdrug.

Having lovely smelling soap/body wash and shampoo always really lifts me too.
The OGX Orchid shampoo is sulfate free and smells divine (I've never found a nicer smelling shampoo) and makes my hair beautiful, but again not sure if Boots/Superdrug do it.
Between that and the monoi conditioner I get lots of compliments on how my hair smells ConfusedGrin

Superdrug Naturally Radiant range ( in the pistachio green packaging) is amazing vfm. The glycolic toner is as good as much higher priced products and is bogof atm I think Smile

OxanaVorontsova · 27/04/2019 15:00

Or try something like this collection £5 off with MEMBERAPR5

Almahart · 27/04/2019 15:29

I agree, I’d go for Superdrug naturally radiant cleanser and glycolic acid

There was a Sali Hughes thing in the Guardian on best beauty buys, I’d look at that

championquartz · 27/04/2019 23:03

Eyebrows and a blow dry.
