Jeans/Trousers Advice Needed...

I'm definitely a good few sizes bigger than I'm comfortable with and finally starting to work on that but in the meantime...

I have a huge muffin top/spare tire situation going on and no defined waist. Due to this any fitted jeans/trousers end up rolling down and digging in around my hips. This also means that the muffin top is even more pronounced and ruins the line of any tops. AND if the tops aren't long enough I end up with some belly hanging out.

Would high waist jeans help this? The ones I wear aren't exactly hipster style but maybe just not high rise enough?

Any other tips? I seem to be kind of between sizes so nothing ever 'fits' and I'm on pretty much no budget especially while trying to lose some weight (so don't want to invest in much that hopefully won't fit for long)

What about wearing a body to streamline you so that the jeans fit better and you don’t get any overhang?

How about some high waisted shapewear? You can get knickers which come right up to your bra, some also have waist shaping properties (Maidenforn do a great pair which fastens at the front). I love that shapewear helps to smooth me out a bit; I have some loose skin rolls leftover from yo-yoing weight. Thr knickers don't magically shrink me,but they do help me to feel more confident.
