Best face sunblock recommendations please

I'm after the holy grail of face sunblock

it needs to be light enough to be sheer on application without leaving that metallic white chalky effect on my face

can be worn either bare or under a tinted moisturiser

price range under 30 quid if possible

I like the Body Shop one (can’t remember what it’s called - face defence? Skin defence? Something like that). It’s lightweight and definitely not chalky. It’s SPF50.

I have recently started using Bioré Watery Essence after reading some reviews. I am very happy so far. I got it from Amazon for under £10.

Body shop one is lovely, really light and sinks straight in.There have been a few recent threads about SPF on here, have a search as there are plenty of options and opinions!

I use Sun Sense daily face after I saw a dermatologist for dermatitis and he recommended. It has what Sun Sense call "invisible tint finish", so it's not a thick white cream. I'm quite pale and the colour doesn't stand out on me, plus makeup goes over the top of it fine.

La Roche Posay, Avene and Bioderma all do lovely face sunblocks for around £15.

Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence! It’s a Korean brand, great stuff.

Heliocare - they do a lotion and an oil free gel. They also do a compact foundation with SPF.

Vichy Dry Touch. 30 or 50 spf. Very light. No shine. No whiteness. Fantastic under makeup.
