M&S are still shit at Bra measuring

Had 3 DC in 4 years and have lived in crop tops and gym style bras. Vaguely remembered seeing a Bra Intervention thread on here yonks ago and thought I would get myself measured properly once I had finished breastfeeding.

So I pootled on down to M&S. The woman measured me; 29 under bust, 34 on bust. "ah, you're a 34A" she says, and gets me one. I couldn't remember exactly what the bra intervention threads said, but I knew that didn't sound right.

Came home, found the thread, went back out and tried on different ones, and ta-dah, 30DD fits fantastically. Comfortable, good shape, no back fat or overhang etc etc.

But I'm mad at M&S for their shit fitting! Would you email customer services to tell them their staff need retraining?!

They are awful. I took my eldest DD (14) to be measured. The size we were told was completely wrong. I think it's because they insist on using the tape measure. This doesn't account for different shapes of boobs, backs etc. The fitter was really quite rude and we felt like she didn't want to be helping us.
Instead we went to bravissimo who were so helpful and fitted a really comfortable bra for her.

So to answer your question yes email them because if we don't then they'll never understand how poor they are.

They don't seem to have got the message do they. i think that most of us on MN have given up on being measured by M&S, though having found my right size of 38DD at Bravissimo, I now buy some bras at M&S.
Bras!!

I'd definitely complain but don't expect any improvement. It's got to be 6 years since their Inverness store measured me at a 48b and then gave me a post surgery bra to try.

My actual bra size was 36F!

I don't think M&S are shit, it's just that that particular way of measuring doesn't work for you.

MN "rules" put me at a 32C, but I can't breath, don't fill the cups and look like I've got back fat 😱

I’m small boobed but broad backed. Bra shopping almost makes me cry. M&S measured me at a 40A the bras aren’t particularly comfy. The bra intervention puts me at 34C which doesn’t fit either and gives me back fat like a pp. So I’ve pretty much reconciled myself to wearing crop tops. I’ve thought about going to bravissimo to get measured but then I read on their website that their target market is bigger busts. I would just love to have a proper pair of boobs that would fit a normal bra..

M&S usually try to put me in a 34D. I've had one of their fitters argue with me and then tell me to suit myself when a suggested bra was ridiculous; off she went in a huff. I'm currently wearing a 30J.

I once got measured there and both me and my sister fitted into it Grin
