I I aiming for something like this and I'm wondering how to describe it to my hairdresser - has it got a name?
Would it suit my thick but fine wavy kinky hair do you think?

Why don't you just show your hairdresser the photo (of Zoe Wanamaker?) instead of trying to describe it?

That looks slightly longer than yours. I think it would be more about styling than cutting to get that look. Straighteners to lift it and flick it out at the ends and maybe some product to lift at the roots?

I'm confused, just take the picture with you! It's similar to your current style but with plenty of product and styling.
