Recommendations - hair brush for long thick hair

I used to use a Denman brush (wore it out). I’m currently using a plastic paddle brush when drying my hair.
I would appreciate recommendations for a brush to use to dry my hair and for brushing every day ( if they need to be different).

Wet Brush

It was recommended on here , I bought one for my DD who has long thick hair . I did think meh when I saw it ( no idea what there was to this brush that made it rave worthy and worth the money) but DD really likes it .

I've got a tangle teezer with a handle for DD. I think it's especially for thick hair. Longer bristles maybe. It works well.

This one www.tangleteezer.com/all-brushes/detangling/the-wet-detangler/serenity-blue.html but I've just seen they do another one specifically for thick hair but without a handle.

Paddle brush. I still think Denman or kent are the best, but actually the primark paddle brushes are pretty close and much cheaper

I have the tangle teezer wet detangler brush and can recommend it, I use it everyday not just when I've washed my hair. It definitely works at detangling and my hair is shinier and healthier looking. My hair is thick, wavy and long.

Mason Pearson!

Another one saying mason and Pearson.they are really expensive but I am still using the one my mother bought me over twenty years ago.

You’ll want the one with at least half plastic bristles though - my daughter has really thick wavy hair and she has the all plastic one.

Think they are called “nylon bristles “ not plastic!

Another Wet Brush fan here, the paddle style one. I use it for drying and brushing. (Although my drying does not create a smooth/sleek finish, but I think that’s my lack of skill not the brush).

Aveda Brush Hairbrush, 50 g www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003H7MY98/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LkjWCb740WW9E?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
