Shoes and hat for this wedding outfit

I’ve been shopping with my DM today who’s finally found an outfit after trying on the entire shop.

It’s a very posh wedding. Thinks 350 people sit down, country house type thing.

Can you lovely S&B MNers find her shoes and a hat? Does she go with blue the same as the jacket, or pink to match the flowers.

She’s told me to say she’ll be getting a tan and wearing an all in one to suck in her stomach

Neutral shoes i.e. beige. I'd also suggest a neutral hat. Blue AND pink plus the dress will be too much unless she's hoping to look like Su Pollard.

Does the dress fit ok? I know you say she's going to wear some shapewear underneath. Is she going to be comfortable sitting down? (Nothing worse than being uncomfortable and sitting through a multi course meal and speeches)

Neutral could work couldn’t it, I hadn’t thought of that.

I can’t find a bright blue hat and honestly think it would drown it out. I’ve found bright pink but I can’t picture it on her now:

The dress is beautiful on and she’s got a very comfortable all in one - she’s gone up a size (16) as the 14 did fit (I could easily zip up) but she felt restricted. The 16 has given her more give!

I think pink hat/shoes will look too much with the blue jacket and rather dated/mumsy.

Given she's already chosen the blue jacket, I think neutral hat / shoes will look more modern. Doesn't have to be beige. She could have a mink hat instead if that works better for her skintone? Like this one:

What about picking out a specific colour on the pattern part of the dress. Such as the green of the stems of the flowers.

I agree with beige/cream shoes and bag but I think a pink hat would work well.
Not a bright pink, but a pale soft pink, there are several pink shades in the dress from what I can tell.

Have a look at John Lewis Partners "Beatrice Downturn small disk occasion hat in vintage pink". It's only £35. Also available in a beige shade too.

I think the trouble with a blue hat is finding one that would look right with the jacket. Also blue might be harsh close to her face. What colour is her hair?

Oh yes, I see her hair is blonde, so a pale dusky warm pink would work well.

I agree with nude for shoes and bag. Think nude hat might be nice too. Too much colour can be a bit OTT xx
