Wide feet trainers

Best trainers for wide feet?

Shoes in general are a nightmare for me but I find a lot of brand trainers don’t seem to do a wide feet range at all? Any recommendations?

new balance do wide fit trainers here. from what i can see they only come in black but if they are for sports then this might not be a big deal x

sleepismysuperpower1 · 23/04/2019 16:58

forgot to say it does recommend that you order a size up from your usual size x

If you have wide toes and high instep but narrow heel, a lot of Nike styles fit very well. They're perfect for my duck feet.

Skechers - the only brand my very wide-footed DD will wear.

I have these "beauties". Not pretty but sooooo comfy. I'm a 7. Had to return and order a 6 - still plenty of room.

I personally don't get on with Skechers at all, there is no support in them at all, especially the Go Walk range.

I've got a pair of Fitflop trainers... really supportive of your arch and generously wide.

Which Nike styles? Duck feet is pretty accurate for me 😂

I have these from Hotter, they do 3 width fittings and are super comfy.

Are you looking for sports trainers or casual wear trainers?

I have really wide square feet, I buy Evans widest shoes. For casual trainers, vans are ok but still a bit tight around my little toes on some days, but I just discovered Adidas Stan smiths. I got some pale blue ones for the summer and some charcoal nubuck ones which were half price on the Adidas website. They are just the best shoes ever, walked round London on Saturday and didn’t want to cut my feet off half way

Most of my Nike trainers are the cheap Dart one, but i think they've ended that line. I have some air and some free, though, but can't remember which and they're probably discontinued by now, anyhow, as they change yearly. Best bet is to either find a discount shop or order a load from Next or amazon prime to try and return as necessary.

I'm looking for wide feet trainers that are turf trainers for my 14 year old. Any recommendations? We usually do Clarks but they don't have these.
Thanks in advance.

KirstenBlest · 22/08/2022 16:47

Nike tend to be on the narrow side. NB has two width fittings.

Spymum786 · 22/08/2022 19:00

Thanks!

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/08/2022 19:05

Try boys trainers instead, womens shoes are cut differently to boys.

KirstenBlest · 22/08/2022 20:15

I have fairly wide feet and can't get on with Adidas. I think the stan smith went to the charity shop.
If you are buying running shoes, consider going up half a size.

Unisex shoes tend to be wider. Some use the same last for men and women's shoes.

So comfortable too

Spymum786 · 23/08/2022 12:24

Sorry forgot to say its for my 14 year old son. I will try NB but it's really hard to get trainers for wide feet which is why I've always used Clarks shoes! I need turf trainers for school which they don't do.
Thanks in advance.

Oh this is me ! Will try Nikes.

Remagirl · 23/08/2022 13:15

Brooks are really good for wide feet.

Beetlewings · 23/08/2022 13:27

Barefoot trainers are generally wider than usual ones. Try searching on a stockist website like happylittlesoles.co.uk

I've had to go to a chiropodist recently for my awful flat wide feet, and he recommened Joya. I've got a pair of trainers that are so comfy and supportive, like walking on clouds. If they're too costly, then New Balance wide fit are fairly decent too.
