Wide fitting sandals

Inspired by another thread. Can anybody recommend proper wide fit sandals please? After ones that fasten around the ankle, not flip flop/slider type ones. I have some teva type sandals for walking but It's very hard to find sandals that can look smart too that have the comfort factor. Am I asking the impossible?

Hotter? For comfort.
Or deichman.

stucknoue · 23/04/2019 06:46

Mine are Clark's, Hotter perhaps too.

M&S do wide fit

grannycake · 23/04/2019 07:51

Gabor do some nice smart sandals. Also surprisingly I found a pair in primark that were also OK. I have stupidly wide feet and really struggle

Sadly they don't have any in at the moment but I am sure Sargasso & Grey will bring some out in a month or so for the summer. They usually do. All of their shoes are wide fit www.sargassoshoes.com

Saltwater sandals are wonderfully comfortable for my very wide feet and they come in really lovely colours, I have white and silver and they are so pretty (especially when you can't usually get nice shoes that fit).

AskMeHow · 23/04/2019 10:35

If you're looking for fashion ones, new look do lots in wide fit.

I also bought a pair of red or dead sandals in their current range that are a bit more Birkenstock, but they are super comfy. I got them from Schuh, they've got a good selection in at the minute. There were a number there I would have been pleased with but it came down to which were the most comfy for me.

I struggle with wide for sandals a lot of high st eg M&S so called wide fit just don't fit me over the top of my feet (too tight) I must have weird shaped feet as they don't carry weight. I get mine from Evans sometimes but watching this thread with interest.

I have very wide feet and have found New Looks wide fit to be great for summer shoes and sandals. I have a pair of tan and gold strappy ones at the moment that are soooo comfy. Much better than many expensive brands I've had in the past (and they look stylish)

SpamChaudFroid · 23/04/2019 10:46

I got some nice wide fit ones from Dune last year.

nelsonmuntzslingshot · 23/04/2019 10:47

I've got really wide feet and bought these from M&S last spring. They fit really well and are very comfortable. I'm going to order a different pair for this year.

Pavers standard fit work for my wide feet with high instep.

madcatladyforever · 23/04/2019 11:38

Fashion world online and Clarkson plus m and s online. I get all my 5.5 e or eek sandals from those three places.

babypossum · 23/04/2019 12:36

Some shops I wouldn't have looked in before so I'll take a look, thank you! I too find M&S wide fit too narrow still and have to go up a size so generally avoid them.

Just ordered these. They come in Black and Tan/leopard as well.

JD Williams do a lot of wide fit, I’ve bought these www.jdwilliams.co.uk/shop/heavenly-feet-strappy-sandals-extra-wide-eee-fit/fr545/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=9059#colour:,size: for this summer. I haven’t worn them yet but they feel very comfortable.

Honeybee85 · 23/04/2019 13:47

I have really wide feet and as PP said before try Clarks.

In any case I would stay away from most Italian and other south European brands as their shoes in general are for smaller feet.

Perhaps try Esprit as well?
They have lovely clothes and shoes.

babypossum · 23/04/2019 16:27

Thanks all who have suggested Clarks. Usually their E fitting is too narrow :-(

I also just got a nice pair of wide fit flat sandals for work in new look. Saw them by chance when shopping for DD
