Reasonably priced good quality bras?

Where do you go for them?
I am a 34E, so need good quality and dd+ sizing. Usually a loyal Marks & Spencer's bra buyer, but I've noticed recently that they aren't lasting as long as I'm sure they used to - in the last 6 months I've had 2 lose an underwire, and just noticed on a third the fabric is fraying along the top of the cups.

Have I just been unlucky/unwise in my bra care (?) or has anyone else noticed a drop in standard?

Where do you go for good quality, reasonably priced bras (that do also look pretty!)?

i found the simplybe own brand bras are fairly good quality x

XingMing · 22/04/2019 16:46

Belle Lingerie have good bras (and swimwear) from past seasons that can be pretty, good quality and affordable. If you're not sure about how a brand fits, you can return the ones that don't fit.

Frouby · 22/04/2019 16:48

Brastop is fab if you know your sizes. All the main brands, all dd upwards and usually some decent sale stuff.

Lottapianos · 22/04/2019 16:49

I think M&S bras are utter rubbish. I'm a 30GG and I buy all of mine from Bravissimo. I usually wear the Alana style which is £28, not sure if that's the sort of budget you had in mind

princessbear80 · 22/04/2019 16:55

Debenhams own brand are really good.

AvocadoDream · 22/04/2019 16:59

Ewa Michalak, wouldn’t wear any other bras now.

Sforsh49 · 22/04/2019 17:06

I like Next, underwired, padded plunge. I'm a D occasionally E and find they don't dig in and sit right.

Alsohuman · 22/04/2019 17:12

I’m wearing a Tu (Sainsbury’s) one today. Also 34E.

ElspethFlashman · 22/04/2019 17:27

2nd Debenhams own brand.

GreenJellyBeans · 22/04/2019 18:18

Thanks all I will have a look at the suggestions!! You've also reminded me that I adored the Sainsbury's bra I bought a few years ago - so comfortable - must have a look there too.

The colours are really rubbish in Sainsbury's at the moment a sage green which is okay then the rest are grey/ biegeish pinks so will look like they've been in a wash with dark colours.
They normally have a nice variety I'm waiting for them to get other colours in hoped valentine's would have some but they didn't.

GreenJellyBeans · 22/04/2019 19:13

Just had a look on the Sainsbury's website as it's 25% off but wasn't impressed - also prefer to avoid straps so thick that they look like they could be used on a construction site for some kind of winching activity...

You’re right. There’s nothing nice in the Tu range right now. What a shame.

NiteFlights · 22/04/2019 20:19

Try John Lewis, their own brand bras are decent quality and not too pricey.

Shetlandponyranger · 22/04/2019 20:32

I wear Asda bras, they are the only make that doesn’t hurt my ribs since having children. I was out with 4 friends on Friday- conversation revealed we all wear Asda bras! A nice range of designs, excellent prices and they last well.

Oly4 · 22/04/2019 20:39

I’m 32E and love my M&S Autograph bras. I wash them in one of those net bags and they last ages?
I also have Rigby and Peller which are lovely but hard to justify the price

Hecateh · 22/04/2019 21:16

I like the TU fit but have gone off them for style this year.

Asda I used to like but find I have to get 2 sizes bigger band size recently which means only construction sizes fit
M&S have never been any good for me. I have tried every few years since the 90's but have never had a good fit.

Theclearing · 22/04/2019 21:33

I am a total victoria’s Secret convert after forgetting my underwear six years ago on hols to the states and buying an emergency simple black bra from them... it immediately became THAT favourite bra that gave me the best shape and was so comfy. Been washed and indeed accidentally tumble dried (would never intentionally tumble dry a bra!) a million times since.

All my bras now come from them, they have tons of special offers on email and in store in London and delivery is good.

Fruityfruitcake · 23/04/2019 11:52

I'm a 34F and really rate Asda's bars. They're comfy, wash well, give good support and come in various colours.

barryfromclareisfit · 23/04/2019 11:57

Asda. Peacocks also. Dd swears by Victoria's Secret.

Honeybee85 · 23/04/2019 12:33

A bit more expensive then M&S but still reasonable price and great quality: Triumph.

Teddybear45 · 23/04/2019 12:36

For your size def john lewis
