Joe Browns sizing

Sorry for the boring post... does anyone know if Joe Browns dresses come up small or big?

Agreed. Very small, especially the trousers.

Another one who thinks they are very small. I am old and a size 10 from JB is about what a size 10 was in most High St shops 30 years ago, so the equivalent of a size 6 or small 8 nowadays.

I have a beautiful prom style cocktail dress i bought in a then size 10 before 28 yo DD was born. She is a current size 10 but this dress hangs off her. A dress with similar measurements today would be sold as a 14 or even a 16.
Clothes sizing is a minefield.

True to size for me if not a bit big, I ordered a dress a couple of weeks ago (and it's lovely!)

I would have said true to size. I own a size 10 dress, I’m a large 10 and it fits me fine. It’s jersey though so maybe something with no give would be less forgiving.

I’m an 18. My size 18 JB jumper is snug to say the least, my tunic is a weird shape, very tight on the sleeves but wide on the shoulders, but ok on the waist and hips. The long sleeves T-shirt type tops fit ok but a little tighter than white stuff, fat face or joules. Generally I’d say size up one size if you want comfy. I’ve found some of their stuff either shrinks a bit or goes a bit baggy and out of shape when it’s washed, which I’ve also had with fat face but not WS/joules

I find some things big and some small.

Sorry not helpful. I'm a 12. I have a 12 of theirs I can't wear as its huge.

I now buy a size down for tops/dresses

My dress came up pretty big, looks like it's a bit hit and miss with sizing!
