Eye make up remover that really DOES remove waterproof mascara?

Can anyone recommend one please?! I am so sick of taking off my make up at night and still waking looking like a panda. The stufff I buy (like Simple or Nivea) promises to remove even waterproof mascara, but they it never does.

I find this one works really well on waterproof mascara.

Which Nivea one do you use? The double effect one (with the two blue liquids you shake together) takes all of mine off and I wear 3 coats of waterproof mascara.

Yes the Nivea biphase double effect one is great.

Thanks I’ll look at that. I can’t rmember which Nivea I was using, I got a 3for2 on the Simple one and have been using that for ages! It wasn’t the micellar one so I will try that. I seem to remember that you used to be able to get pad wipe type things that were so greasy no make up could beat them - but also think they might be awful for sensitive skin?

Clarins 'instant' is amazing (as opposed to the 'gentle' variety which is not so good for waterproof mascara)

I would second the clarins one. Amazing stuff.

There was another Nivea one I bought because it was on offer and the double effects one wasn't and it was TERRIBLE. Water could have done a better job.

Clinique take the day off. Balm or liquid.

I now use the make up cleansing cloth from primark. Just water on the cloth takes off all your make up then just bung it in the wash and use again. I have 3 so not washing it every day. I was shocked it took off waterproof mascara. It's some kind of wizardry lol.

Another vote for Clinique.

This is the reason why I HATE waterproof mascara! I can't tolerate mascara that doesn't wash off

Clarins blue one, the bi-phase one you need to shake.

Clinique take the day off balm massaged into dirty skin and taken off with a muslin or a flannel face cloth and hot water.

Most of the cleansing balms work, tbh, it’s just that the Clinique one is really plain so you’re less likely to get reactions as there are no added colours or fragrances.

You need an oil based cleanser to break down the mascara.

I bought a big batch of muslin cloths off Amazon. They were about £10 for 15 or so. I use a fresh one every day and chuck them in the machine when I do a whites wash.

Lancôme bi facial is the absolute best but this comes a close and cheaper second :

The Clinique one doesn't work that well on me and the Nivea one hurts my eyes afterwards

I’ve got the Clarins blue one that needs shaking. I’ve just bought a Bobbi Brown no smudge mascara and no matter how well I cleanse I still can’t get the bloody stuff off with it.

I don't like the dual Nivea one either. Gives me eczema around my eyes.

I love the dual Nivea one, it’s the only one that really shifts waterproof mascara for me.
