House of Colour questions

Several years ago I saw a consultant and was identified as a winter. I am naturally a mousey brown, but colour to lighter blonde to blend in greys. I have pale skin and it was during the winter so I was very pale with very few freckles. But this time of year the freckles are coming in to play making my skin seem more golden.
So my first question is do you think if I'd been to the consultant in the summer I would been given a different season?
My second question is about fake tan. If you regularly wear fake tan does that give you a warmer skin tone and change you season?
My consultant has left HoC and there isn't another one in easy travelling distance to see for a re-rate.

Fake tan doesn’t change anything. I did the colour and style sessions back to back with another woman. After day 1, she went and got a spray tan done as she wanted a different result. Same result.

The idea is that you are either cool or warm toned and that doesn't change ever.

Did you expect/want a different result? I was absolutely convinced I was an autumn and love autumn colours. I'm a summer and still coming to terms with pink being one of my best colours!

It is possible you are a summer rather than winter. Both of these are cool tones and summer is the most common season for English people. If you think winter colours are too strong for you, try out summer colours.

Do you look good in black?

Yes = Winter

Thanks everyone. Shock at the spray tan, that's a bit drastic to change the consultant's outcome.

How can fake tan not change the outcome? Maybe if you’re an autumn or spring with already warm toned skin then it might not but as a winter, with pink cool toned skin, dying skin brown with fake tan will certainly change the result! How can it not? The whole draping session is done to your natural skin tone which is why you’re not supposed to wear make up for it
