Help. Weekend in Cornwall - what to wear? Esp coat / jacket

Am being whisked away tomorrow afternoon for a few days in Cornwall . Forecast looks good but know it can always be chilly by sea. Don't know what to wear!!! Can I go bare legged or too cold? And have no jacket / coat. Help!!

It can be windy/chilly on the coast so I'd pack for the forecast sunshine but if you want to go smarter than jeans/tee/hoodie have back up stuff that packs down small but has a big impact if nippy and you can pop under/over dress etc e.g.: pair of tights/leggings to slip on/whip off as needed, thin knit to layer, lightweight down jacket and a warm wrap/scarf and beanie if windy/cold and you're sat outside at a lovely seaside pub to stop your hair flying everywhere and keep that chill out. If you're traveling by car and there is likelihood of rain, chuck a waterproof in the boot.

Thanks. Yes going to go layered. Travelling by car so no problem in taking extra. Just dont want to not be able to do stuff because am too cold!!
Have put weight on and too fat for my jeans

It's 26C here at the moment!
