Shoes to match this dress

EnglishRose1320 · 18/04/2019 22:44

I'm hoping all you lovely mumsnetters can help me with this rather last minute hunt for shoes.

What colour/style of shoes would work with this dress

Ideally nothing too pricey and I've also had toe surgery so styles that are a bit wider tend to work best.

Thanks

Love the shape of those, not sure about the colour choices though. Which do you think would work best, the champagne? Or will that not quite work? Arghh I'm hopeless at things like this.

I'd go for something to match the belt. Irregular choice do really lovely satin type shoes but I wonder if after surgery they might be painful.
Maybe go for a totally different colour and get red glitter ones with a matching clutch or is that adding to many colours.
I haven't helped have I ....

EnglishRose1320 · 19/04/2019 12:18

No that does help, I was wondering if I a pop of colour would work so good to hear someone else has that idea.

I'm worried if I try and match the bow i might not get it quite right and it will look a bit clashy

Or a grey leopard print?

EnglishRose1320 · 19/04/2019 15:33

Going to have to confess I've never worn anything with an animal print on, not sure why, not a fan on me.

You need some swing dance shoes. Black and white would be perfect!

Red Mary Jane type shoes. Red clutch. Sorted. Don't try and match the colour of the bow, it will look to try hard and may make your legs look washed out.

FluffySocks123 · 19/04/2019 15:52

I would go for Mary Jane type shoes in a nice bright colour with matching bag - I saw some in new look in the wide fitting style; I broke my toe a few years ago and now need wide fitting for them to be comfortable! Grin I'll try and find a link

Thanks for all the tips
I love these

Worried they won't be wide enough though

They are cool! But not sure they would be wide enough. As PP said try new look :)

EnglishRose1320 · 20/04/2019 17:15

New look is my normal go to for heels bit I can't find anything quite right this time. They have some black wedges that will probably do if I can't find anything else.

Do you think I could go black wedges, red clutch and a touch of red in my accessories?

Thanks for all the tips so far

Yes defo. The dress is a pinup style so would look great with wedges.
