Will electrolysis get rid of my hair caused by PCOS? It’s getting out of control now and no matter what I do it’s visible on my chin/neck. I looked into laser but was told although it would improve, new hairs would grow back. Will electrolysis be better? Anyone in the know? Thank you! Blush

I know this isn't actually what you asked, but have you ever spoken to a gp about medication for it? Spironolactone is often used for it. I took it for a while and it did help a little, but it interacted with some of my other meds so had to stop taking it.

Apologies if you've already gone down that route/would prefer not to take medication for it.

Thank you very much. I will look into that option with my GP-I always just thought there was nothing that could be done.

Any more views on electrolysis at all please?

No. It won’t. The hair just grows back. The only thing that can help is metformin, losing weight if you are overweight, and following a high protein / medium fat / low carb diet.
