Help me on my neverending quest for the perfect red lipstick!

I have tried so many red lipsticks over the years but they either bleed, flake, fade really quickly or dry my lips out.

Hit me with your recommendations for red lipsticks that don't do any of the above please...if such a thing exists!

My red is Mac Red Rock. Very similar to Ruby Woo but not as drying. I absolutely love it.

And you can just buy a generic red liner. I think I have a Barry M one. You definitely don't need to spend much money on one. In fact I'd say an expensive one is a waste of money!

Nars dragon girl or gypsy (which is a lipstick not a crayon) are both lovely

She also had a lipstick called 'Underage Red' yuk.

I love the lipsticks from Labelle Makeup. I have only ever bought online though.

I pretty much only wear red lipstick - occasionally hot pinks. I prefer matte, and tend to favour an orange-toned red. I have hundreds, but the ones I most reach for are:

I use a nude liner with all of them, a MAC one which I can't remember the name of.

try primark lipsticks. I absolutely love them

I love Laura Mercier velvet matte in fire. Lasts all day and bullet point so I can get away without a liner. Keep meaning to buy the Dior clear lip liner so I have something that goes with everything.

I use £1 MUA lip liners. Cant go wrong. As PP said, a nude, red and brown shade should cover them all

Another vote for the Nars chunky pencils : dragon girl and cruella are lovely

I swear by maybelline 24 hour superstar but the one with the separate lip balm in the bottom. I have red alert and it's my go to lipstick. I do have a red lipstick addiction and have about 30 in a box beneath my bed
