Hair shine spray that's really shiny without alcohol?

I've looked at the Percy & Reed one, but seems to have mixed reviews, including it doesn't smell very nice and it isn't very shiny. Have used Gliss, but don't think the alcohol is doing my coloured and increasingly dry hair any good. TIA.

I can't be the only one who wants shiny swishy hair, surely ?! Grin

I use L’Oréal elvive extraordinary oil in cream.

It comes in a tube so no alcohol or propellants and makes my mid length, coloured, post menopausal hair properly soft and silky. So much so that when I was recently shown a video of drunk me singing at the end of a very boozy St Patrick’s night party my first thought wasn’t ‘OMG, I’m never drinking again’ but ‘Ooh, doesn’t my hair look nice’.

I've got the GHD final shine spray, I like it. I also use Moroccan Oil to make my hair shine, I have highlights.

I swear that back in the mid-late 90s there were some incredible hair shine sprays around that worked brilliantly. I used them all the time. Nowhere to be seen for 15-20 years now. Maybe the ingredient that made them so good got banned or something.

Hairq I was just thinking that the thread subject made me think of Citre Shine... It was bloody brilliant!

I’d forgotten that one! It was really good. There was another one in a shiny maroon spray bottle that smelled amazing and worked brilliantly. And one from the body shop that neutralised odours in your hair like cooking smells and cigarette smoke as well as making it shiny. (Less call for that one these days with no smoking in pubs any more).

Thanks all. Will go have a poke around Boots, and check them out.

Omg! I used to have one in the 90s that was so brilliant! My hair looked like glass! Anyhows, I used to spray it on inthe girls bathroom at work.... until.... the boss went in one day and skidded head over arse. She never did figure out what it was that made the floor so slippery.
Snigger.
