help my big feet look chic on weekend in italy

My size 8 (UK) feet seem to have gotten bigger-combination of 3 DC, wearing birkenstocks and superga trainers all summer and running shoes all the time-so lots of my lovely shoes now pinch and rub. I think (gasp) that I really need 9's now

I have done a huge clear out of shoe cupboard and now I'm left with almost nothing. DH and I going away for our anniversary which we never usually notice and actually both forgot last year I just want a pair of smart flats that I can walk all day in. The charity shop has gotten a huge bag of my lovely lk bennet loafers that pinch etc. I am at a loss of where to look-I have spent ages googling but nothing working.

My style is Hush, Jigsaw, Zara type but err more on the conservative side.
Am in my 50's and just don't want to turn up looking and feeling frumpy.
I need help!!

Zalando have size 9s, plus you can filter by leather lining so you don't end up with plastic.

I am a 9 (Narrow) and same age. It isn't easy.
If you are wider it is easier.
Next and Clarks do a 9 but they are not a "proper" 9..not for me anyway.
I shop online at Gabor via Charles Clinkard, Long Tall Sally, Crispins and Magnus.
It is a nightmare.

Have a look at Air and Grace. They go up to size 9 / 9.5 in some styles.

They also stock them in some branches of John Lewis. They seem popular with the yummy mummy blogger crowd so might fit in with your style preferences.

I've started using shoeaholics for my size 9s. It's £5 delivery, so I just order a dozen pairs and then send most back. Most shops don't keep size 9 in stock anyway, they just tell you to order them off the website.

That's true, don't expect to shop in a real shop for size 9s, nobody keeps them in stock. The last time I shopped in a shop the man serving actually laughed in my face when I asked to try on a size 9. I walked out.

@pragmaticwench my genes are strong-my poor DS has size 15 feet!!

I love Superga but they only do the interesting ones up to size 8. When I queried this in the Superga shop, the assistant said women don't wear size 9s.
I nearly hit her.

Where are you going in Italy?

Because depending where it is, possibly everyone will be wearing sensible shoes. I was so pleased to be finally surrounded by sensible shoe wearers, instead of usually being the only person wandering about in Hotter shoes and carrying a 10-pack of blister plasters while everyone else wafts about looking glam.
