Tell me more about glossier

What do you use and what do you love? The cloud paints are basically calling to me but I'm reluctant without any real life feedback!

I like the cloud paint! But I found it difficult to get through right shade as you can only look at them online. A peachy one didn’t suit me but looked good on my friend, and haze was too purple. I really like dusk though. I also use the boy brow; it’s brilliant. I didn’t rate the eyeshadows, nice enough but really felt like the packaging was mostly empty, as if it’d been used.

andadietcoke · 14/04/2019 15:11

Boybrow is fantastic - I won't use anything else. Balm dot com is okay, but nothing special. Does taste amazing though (the birthday cake one!)

MaryLennoxsScowl · 14/04/2019 15:12

It was the lidstar eyeshadow I got. I have the stretch concealer too, which I also like. I didn’t realise I had so many Glossier things!

LolaBelle99 · 14/04/2019 15:19

Major glossier fan here. I use glossier solution, milky jelly cleanser, boy brow and lash slick.

I really like the skincare products as they don’t feel heavy and ‘chemically’ and like the natural look I can achieve with the makeup as someone who doesn’t wear much of it.

LolaBelle99 · 14/04/2019 15:20

Second a previous poster about balm dot com too!

bingohandjob · 14/04/2019 18:59

Love BoyBrow but I do think it's overpriced for such a tiny tube but it's the easiest/best brow product I've used. Love the lip colours and finish but the packaging is terrible - the tube cracked within a week. Cloud Paints are lovey light wash of colour. The lip balms are ok , not amazing.I do think it's pretty much all overpriced though so I tend to stock up on Boy Brow when I find a 20% off referral code or similar. I've had a sample of the perfume and it's nice but didn't blow me away.

openupmyeagereyes · 14/04/2019 19:59

I like the cloud paint, I have dusk. Unlike pp’s I love the balm.com, I haven’t used anything else since they launched here. I liked the milky jelly cleanser at first but it dried my skin out after a while.

EdWinchester · 14/04/2019 20:01

I have bought so many Boybrows and Lash Slicks, I have lost count. Love them both but they don't last long.

Thenameisweasley · 14/04/2019 21:08

Thanks for the responses - sorely tempted to do an order now!! Are the cloud paints remotely shimmery? Hard to tell from the pictures

I love the liquid exfoliator and perfume.

Betty777 · 14/04/2019 21:12

I love the Generation G lipsticks - semi sheer so less risky and great colours

Also Boy Brow is good

openupmyeagereyes · 14/04/2019 21:34

Dusk is not shimmery.

Housewife2010 · 15/04/2019 06:19

I love the Stretch concealer. I've been using it daily for 18 months and there's plenty left. It's great for both under the eyes and around my nose. I like the Skin Tint for light coverage in the summer. The Boy Brow is excellent. I like the Cloud Paint in Dusk for summer and Storm for winter. Neither are sparkly. I don't like the Generation G lipsticks and wasn't impressed by the Lidstars. There's 10% off Glossier with the code re.glossier.com/74ccd611

jalopy · 15/04/2019 07:07

The cloud paints aren't shimmery. I've got the dark one & also the very light one. They are lovely and blend in well. You only need a small amount to start off with. I use v small amounts on eyelids too.

jalopy · 15/04/2019 07:09

Have a look on YouTube to see cloud paints swatches & reviews.

EjectorCrab · 15/04/2019 07:10

Lidstar eyeshadow burns my eyes. Balm dot com okay, nothing special. Boy brow is a great product.

dontgobaconmyheart · 15/04/2019 15:36

I think most of it is over hyped (by sponsored bloggers) tbh. Boy brow is good but it's overpriced. I've tried the cloudpaints- drawn in by the name/packaging and said blogger hype and the texture is nice but i found it tricky to work with and the colours not quite what I'd wanted- they're just quite awkward and unnatural IMO. Balm.com is also very average but perfectly nice, and I found the stretch concealer a bit of a fail too; it's very sheer and moisturising so absolutely no good for coverage. It does add a bit of brightening for under the eyes which I liked but no way for heavy under eye circles or blemishes, say, which is what I'm after in a 'concealer'. I think it's a range best for those who already have a wrinkle and blemish free face as it's all about natural dewy sheer effects.

I'll get shot down for this but it reminds me a bit of a hammed up and expensive Natural Collection but in cleverly marketed millennial packaging tbh, fun colours, light coverage. The only thing I'd repurchase is the boybrow and for the money I think there are a lot of similar things about cheaper. I'd happily be gifted it though Grin

MadameDD · 15/04/2019 15:42

I haven't tried much of it yet. Apart from BoyBrow and 2 Cloud Paints.

It's expensive for what it is so won't be buying again.

agreed with dontgobaconmyheart - it's like Boots Natural Collection but revamped and cleverly packaged!

In fact my only recent loves - and I swore I'd hate the first is Daniel Sandler Watercolour blush and Bobbi Brown Serum Foundation.

Alsohuman · 15/04/2019 16:10

I like the Cloud Paints, they’re buildable and very controllable. No shimmer.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 15/04/2019 18:09

If anyone can recommend a version of boy brow that’s cheaper but good that would be really helpful - I love it but it is expensive.
