Do you plan your outfits...

in advance? And if so how much in advance - for the week or just the night before?

I really want to get more wear out of my wardrobe but find I just reach for what's clean and doesn't need ironing as I'm always in a rush.

Which leads me into, if you do plan, do you also iron in advance?? Doesn't everything get crumpled in your wardrobe when you put it back?

I sometimes plan outfits before the day before but more in a 'I want to wear that on Tuesday because it's going to be hot/cold/I have an important meeting/I need to do the school run' way. Beyond that when I buy something new I have a trying on session so I know what goes with what so I have potential outfits in my head if I want to wear X.

Planning ahead is a good idea if you want to stop just reaching for the same things all the time. You could even plan as far as your shoes, bag & accessories, too.

If I was still working I would plan and iron ahead for the week. Anything that gets really crumpled could be ironed the night before.

It might seem like a lot of effort on a Sunday afternoon, but it'll be worth it.

Everything that needs ironing is done before it’s put away.

What are you doing to things in your wardrobe that they’re getting crushed? You need a good sort out.

I’m currently on mat leave but returning to work soon. I’ve been so busy with baby that I’ve got into the habit of wearing the same couple of outfits on repeat as they are what’s top of the clean washing pile. Plus I’m limited to jeans and jumper really as I spend all day on the floor with baby!

I really really want to make the most of my clothes when I’m back at work as I enjoy clothes and wearing the same crappy jeans every day has been making me feel quite crap about myself. I can’t wait to wear a dress!

So I’m going to start outfit planning. My idea is to check weather for the week on a Sunday and ear mark outfits for the week and hang them out. Otherwise I fear mornings will be such a rush I’ll end up looking a total scruff

I always pick out my outfit the night before for work. I hang everything in the bathroom, bar shoes which I lay out in the bedroom. If I didn’t I would go to work in my pyjamas. I also keep a note on my iPad of outfits I want to wear.

I iron everything, but if I pull something that looks a bit rumpled, it gets ironed again before hanging in the bathroom.
