Ryanair small hand luggage ideas?

I guess a normal handback would do but for a city break so either a backpack or cross body is probably more practical. Max dimensions are 40x20x25cm and fit under seat. Any ideas of spacious but small bags?! Ideally with a pocket for passport!

Flying with EasyJet on a mini break later in the year so I’m interested in recommendations too.

I have a bag from Argos (IT range of luggage) which has handles and a long strap for cross body. It has an outside pocket plus another one inside. It’s very light and fits under the seat easily. I’ve used it for long weekends and it’s surprisingly spacious. Mine is dark grey and cost about £20.

If you look on amazon and search Ryannair small second hand luggage bag I bought one for £7.99 which is the exact size. Sorry I couldn't do the link.

Does the size matter so much ? So long as it fits under the seat? I have flown with them recently withe regular mid sized ruck sack that was bigger than those dimensions but fitted under the seat easily.

I took the Kipling Art last year on a 2 day trip. Really roomy and easy to sling over your shoulder. Link here www.kipling.com/uk-en/new-in/personalisation-c10527/art-m-efe9e9-k2574819u00-999.html

I travelled Easy Jet on the way out, and Ryanair on the way back. I paid the extra on Ryanair so that I could take 2 bags, and took my small foldup Longchamp as well. No problems either way.
