Another "what do you think of this bag?" Thread!

Longchamp

I'm after a new bag, want something I can wear cross body but also has a handle so I can grab it without having to put the strap over my shoulder. Want to be able to fit in purse, phone, kindle and few other bits, so not a tiny bag, but don't want yet another large tote size, with a body strap.

Not sure if this longchamp one is too casual and looks a bit dated? But don't want to look like I've got my work bag with me...

This one is under £500, but can push up to more like £1k.

Any of you far more stylish ladies able to help?!

I like it, but I prefer the tan colour more.

OrdinarySnowflake · 14/04/2019 09:24

Thanks, I think you are right about the tan, would probably go with more.

Despite the fact that the ‘rim’ round the bottom of it will prove a practice feature while sifting through your bag, keeping it upright, I don’t like the look of it. It makes the bag look a little bit like a flower pot and would possibly be annoying when worn cross-body.

*practical

OrdinarySnowflake · 14/04/2019 09:55

hmm, I fear you are right Pictish - annoying as there's not much like that about -even though I see woman walking around with cross body/long straped bags all the time now.

Has anyone seen anything else that would fit the bill? I think the small amberley works, but the top handle is only available on the ones with pattern, not the plain leather ones (which I'd prefer).

I really don't want to go over a grand, but have a selection of 'not quite right' bags already.

I really like that bag it look practical but stylish really like it in the baby blue

pictish · 14/04/2019 09:59

Too small. Would be bulging with all your stuff.

Goandplay · 14/04/2019 10:00

Think my suggestion is too small.

The Mulberry bag is lovely but I’m not sure a kindle will fit inside. (Also my must have when looking for a bag)

Mintandthyme · 14/04/2019 10:01

Coach prairie satchel might be an option?

ooh I like the Anya Hindmarsh bag - Not sure if it would be too small, might need to find a day I can get into London without children and turn up with my Kindle/purse/phone/keys and do a test... (bet they love people doing that!!)

Sorry for this being a bit of a challenge, I want something smaller - I have lots of big bags and I do end up filling them with stuff I don't need or use, but then have to juggle them when I'm out with the kids. I do have a couple of cross body bags already, which are more useful for family days, but the lack of top handle annoys me, and when I don't have them on my shoulder, end up dragging on the floor, and they are all in bright colours/patterns that limit what they look good with when worn without a plain coat between them and my outfit. And I want something that doesn't look scruffy or overly like a work bag.

Typing the above has made me realise I'm a difficult cow. Sorry!

Not difficult. Difficult is having no idea what you want.

I found a Anya Hindmarch bad I like and fitted perfectly. I ended up with 3! I love them. They get better and better.
