You can buy multiples of blades on ebay for a fraction of the cost of the treatment...

Yeah I do it all the time with a scalpel Smile

VioletCharlotte · 13/04/2019 16:27

Yes, I bought the blades on line for about £4 and do my own face. There's videos on you tube that show you how to do it. It's brilliant, a total revelation in fact!

FuckASilverLining · 13/04/2019 17:59

Oooooh

So I'm not crazy for thinking this

Not at all. It's actually really quick and easy to do and it makes such a difference to your face, not having all the fine hairs.

madcatladyforever · 13/04/2019 18:18

I did it once with a podiatry Moores disc which is like a sander and my face was red for a good two weeks.

FortyFacedFuckers · 13/04/2019 18:20

I do it all the time!

@yesqueen can you link to the scalpel you use please?

stephstrops · 13/04/2019 18:21

Regularly and I love it

ImHastingsDarling · 13/04/2019 18:21

Ooh yes link please

VioletCharlotte · 13/04/2019 18:27

These are the ones I use.

Theclearing · 13/04/2019 18:36

What is the benefit of doing it? (Genuinely dont know!)

ImHastingsDarling · 13/04/2019 18:39

@VioletCharlotte thank you but please charge your phone!! Grin

RaynaJaymes · 13/04/2019 18:43

Same blades I use, very easy to do and makeup lasts longer

picklemepopcorn · 13/04/2019 18:46

I've been doing it to the centre of my cheeks, where I've got sun damage. I'm hoping the skin will renew a bit quicker...

ilovecherries · 13/04/2019 18:52

How often do you have to do it? And does it really, honestly not give you prickly stubble? I only have fine blonde (vellus?) hair on my cheeks/chin/above lips/neck and they talked me into having it waxed at the Benefit Brow Bar, but I thought it was a ridiculous price, though it was very smooth.

VioletCharlotte · 13/04/2019 18:54

@ImHastingsDarling 😂

When I posted that I had been sat on the sofa for about an hour, trying to force myself to move!

It is now on charge 😀

BobbinThreadbare123 · 13/04/2019 19:45

I did it so I could zap my chops with my Philips Lumea. Also when I am feeling super lazy I will do my eyebrows with those little razors too. I've been quite pleased as I was starting to get a bit embarrassed by the darkness of the hair on the sides of my face. I gave a blade to my mum too; she can't use the Lumea because her hair is white.

YesQueen · 13/04/2019 19:55

I use a disposable scalpel, 10 blade off eBay

RosaWaiting · 13/04/2019 23:49

I just think of this as shaving

I dither between "why must I get rid of fine facial hair to conform to a social norm" then looking at my sister and thinking "oh, her skin looks better than mine because she shaves"!!

I can't imagine paying someone else to do it though - I'd feel safer doing it myself.

RosaWaiting · 13/04/2019 23:50

also worried about stubble.

in fact I think someone might have posted a pic of stubble after a treatment.

Fozzleyplum · 13/04/2019 23:51

I do it regularly. I learned from a YouTube video and I use the eyebrow razors pictured in a post above.

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/04/2019 09:16

@madcatladyforever 🤦🏻‍♀️

What possessed you?. Hope your not eying up the phenol too.
