Navy or red saltwater sandals

I love my metallic sandals and I have decided to get some more this year. I can’t decide between the red or navy.
What do you all think?
Also, some pictures of the navy saltwaters appear to be a lighter shade of navy and some look almost black in colour, or is it my imagination?

I've got red ones and LOVE them. Love the bright, bright red, look great with matching nail polish and they work really well with so many colours but can also see temptation of navy as they'd be the next colour on my list (I've got silver, rose gold and red...).

Theclearing · 12/04/2019 23:29

I have both, the red are lovely, but the navy were literally never off my feet.

neveradullmoment99 · 12/04/2019 23:30

I love them in the red. I have them in that colour too but it really depends upon your wardrobe. Tbh, I haven't worn mine that much because they don't go with everything as I seem to have too many things in pink/green and I have little to go with red BUT I do love them in that colour way more than the blue. Its worth thinking what you have that goes with the red in all honesty.

SlipperOrchid · 12/04/2019 23:31

What colours do you wear most often? Navy is quite dark for summer but is more or less a neutral whereas red compliments so many colours and can really brighten up the whole outfit. As you already have a metallic pair, the red will create more of a contast and you can always fall back to your originals if its a bit much with what you are wearing?

Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of Saltwaters for adults but I guess that would work or saltwaters too.......

BringMeTea · 12/04/2019 23:39

Red.

Birdy65 · 12/04/2019 23:40

I wear a lot of blue so red may be a good colour as a contrast. I think the red look great with denim and I guess I have the metallic ones that will go with anything.

Do you think some of the navy saltwaters differ in their shade? Some pictures the navy looks lighter than others.

I have two pairs of the navy as wore out the first pair (though as I said before, I have the red too, they’re lovely but worn a fraction of the navy!) Both navies identical for me.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 13/04/2019 00:52

I have the red (and the yellow) and have not regretted getting them at all - they go with everything. I'm thinking of getting the silver and blue ones next, the nautical style.

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 13/04/2019 07:03

What is the fit like on them? Are they snug a cross the foot?

BikeRunSki · 13/04/2019 07:06

I have them in red. I wear a lot of blue/grey dull colours, even in the summer. Red really livens things up.

WhiteDust · 13/04/2019 07:15

I want to know this too baby. Are they narrow or wide fit?

BridgetDarcy · 13/04/2019 07:19

I have wide feet and they’re fab - snug at first, but you put them on, dunk your feet in a bowl of water and wear them til they are dry. I did this twice and they’re perfect.

BridgetDarcy · 13/04/2019 07:19

I am torn between sensible navy and the new mustard or olive ❤️

BikeRunSki · 13/04/2019 07:27

I have huge fit, wide size 9. Saltwater 9s gut and are not too tight.

Birdy65 · 13/04/2019 08:49

I have wide feet and they are very comfortable. Agree about getting them wet while you’re wearing them to allow so they mocks to the shape of your foot.
The only downside is that that my calfs really ache if I wear them everyday as they’re so flat, so I alternate between saltwaters and Birkenstocks to stay comfortable.
I can wear them for a long day out, just not everyday of the week.

I have the red and the navy (and silver) and the navy get worn the most by far. The red do look great with denim though I agree

Butterfly84 · 13/04/2019 13:11

Just looked at pics. Much prefer the red, got a lot more about them.

CountFosco · 13/04/2019 14:34

Me in my navy ones and the DC in their more colourful ones!

I lived in my rose gold Saltwaters last summer and will definitely be getting a different colour this year. I have been considering the white ones because I think they'll look good on tanned feet but now you've got me thinking about the red ones...hmmm, decisions decisions!

Notcontent · 13/04/2019 21:23

The olive is really lovely - my teen dd has a pair!

Condamine · 14/04/2019 10:28

Has anyone had the slides? Just wondering if they are as comfy as the sandals.

AhoyDelBoy · 14/04/2019 12:40

CountFoacos picture above shows the true colour of the navy. I had a pair but wore them to death. Now have the rose gold which I love.

AhoyDelBoy · 14/04/2019 12:40

Fosco

Thegirlisnotright · 14/04/2019 16:08

condamine no the slides are not as comfy in my experience. More flattering though.

I prefer the red. I have a pair of mixed rose gold and tan ones, but wondering what to get this year...

Birdy65 · 04/05/2019 09:52

I have ordered and just need to decide! I have the red, silver or pewter.
I think I’m going to stay with the silver. I have some already but they’re looking about battered and discolored after four years of wear!
