Mac Studio Fix too matte

Is there anything I can do to salvage it? Colour is great but I really feel like it shows up all my fine lines and looks heavy. I'm using a primer and applying with a brush. Not sure I rate Mac tbh..will be going elsewhere in full!

I find it better if applied with a slightly damp sponge, gives a lighter, less dense finish. Also adding a setting spray helps, I use one by ELF but forget which.

Ok I'll try that thanks. How do you get to the right dampness? When I've tried this before it seems too wet!

I just dab it in water quickly rather than fully soaking, squeeze out, then squeeze again with it wrapped in a towel.
