One-piece swimsuits for big boobs

I am 2 months post-partum and need a swimsuit for summer holiday. Before I got pregnant, I already struggled to buy nice swimwear as was a 32F. Now I am a 34G, and my tummy resembles blancmange. I want a swimsuit which holds the tum in, holds the boobs up, but looks nice and not like something my granny might have worn. Equally, I don't have the body for the things with cut-outs and plunging necklines that I've seen on ASOS. What I'm looking for seems surprisingly hard to find for under £250. Any tips for where to look?

Check out Lands End

Figleaves sell swimming costumes of various brands with cup sizes

Amalfi by Bravissimo. I have one and it’s great - boob lift and tummy control. Mine is black but I’m going to treat myself to one in a brighter colour for summer. It’s around £50.

Approx £40 - £50 for a Speedo costume on there that has support for your cup size

Try brastop - loads of nice swimming costumes, though I'm very fond of my Curvy Kate Tankini from there which has full briefs but a textured partially see through top (apart from the bra obv)

I was in Bravissimo in Bath at the weekend, and they had some nice swimwear so worth checking there.

zinrepus · 10/04/2019 13:17

Bravissimo 100%. They have a nice blend of options available, bikinis, tankinis, one pieces...it's fab!

We have a Bravissimo shop, I'll look there. It seems surprising that "mainstream" retail doesn't cater better for this.

Another vote for Bravissimo, especially as you are near a shop and can go in to try on.

stucknoue · 10/04/2019 15:08

Bravissimo have them, otherwise figleaves. Mine was £60

pigletpie2177 · 10/04/2019 22:36

Love my Boden talamanca which sucks in my c section shelf and puts my boobs back where they should be after two years of breastfeeding. £60 but some colours in sale and there's always a discount code knocking around.

Sashkin · 11/04/2019 02:54

Bravissimo, definitely. I'm a 30F and it's the only place I can find anything to fit (the other parents in DS's Waterbabies class do NOT want to see me falling out of the top of my swimming costume Baywatch-style).

They have some sexy/glamorous styles for sitting by the pool, but they also have some higher-necked sporty ones that can stand up to proper swimming/being buffeted by waves without falling off.

Mommaof2x · 11/04/2019 03:14

George Asda - when I was pregnant I found fit best
One lives always otherwise dnt sit right for me

RamblingFar · 11/04/2019 03:34

Speedo. Not always the most glamorous. But they can support my G cups without wires due to the amount of compression they apply.

StarlightLady · 11/04/2019 06:13

Others have suggested places to buy, may I deviate slightly in terms of selection?

Beware those that appear so rigid they are almost corset like in rigidity. I know you want support but you also want to be comfortable, some can be awful when wet.

In terms of your holiday, is it a case of changing in a hotel room and slipping a sarong on? Or will you be changing on the beach? Some cosies are a nightmare to get on and off.

DianaT1969 · 11/04/2019 07:08

Definitely look at Fantasie swimsuits. Their suits are bra sized and everything you are looking for. About £75. Tummy control panels, adjustable leg, adjustable straps etc

shakenfizzydrink · 11/04/2019 07:12

Op I bought one like this, well similar. Basically a very high waisted two piece, and the top is quite structured. Keeps my big boobs up, holds in my c section tummy.

I bought one from Figleaves, I am a 32GG and gives plenty of support without feeling uncomfortable when swimming.
I actually ordered quite a few in a few sizes so that I had some choice, their returns are easy so might be a good option for you.

JustTrustme · 11/04/2019 07:35

@shakenfizzydrink

I like it. Where can I find one similar?
