This is the dress I've gone for, it's actually more pale blue than lilac, any links to shoes and jackets? I'm open up all style recommendations and colours, although not very high heels as wont be able to walk in them all day! Budget around £150 for both items. Wedding is a country style in summer (UK) so hopefully nice weather!

Pewter metallic shoes and pashmina to match.
Not white shoes or jacket.
I prefer court shoes to strapped sandals.
They are classier looking.
Navy would be nice too.

Annietheacrobat · 10/04/2019 19:35

I disagree with some of the other posters. I think a white or even cream bolero jacket/shoes might work well

loveskaka · 10/04/2019 19:37

@NiteFlights shoes are spot on

BertrandRussell · 10/04/2019 19:41

Pash. Definitely a pash.
Silver grey. And silver grey shoes.

Atalune · 10/04/2019 19:45

That is a great dress! You look lovely.

Those gold classic court shoes, they are great. A charcoal clutch is nice and silver grey pashmina. Get a good one- will drape beautifully.

A jacket might make the dress bumfle... do you know what I mean?

Take the dress with you to a big John Lewis and get some personal shopper help??

Hippychick78 · 10/04/2019 19:45

I think go for spectacular shoes 🥰 for that beautiful dress

Would any of these be to your style??

@Pinkyyy yes I think you're right but I don't like the off the shoulder look, do you think it looks silly the way it bunches?
Ok def not white then Smile
It's a v hard colour to match so maybe I'll look for grey/pewter colours it'll be less harsh compared to white, thank you all!

I personally wouldn't go matchy matchy. It can look a bit naff. Matching shoes, bag, fascinator and 'pash' is really 90s and not in a good way.

Pashminas are soooo dated. If it's chilly I would get a jacket in either charcoal grey or navy as a PP suggested.

Atalune · 10/04/2019 19:56

I Hugh quality pashmina will be lovely. And the 90s are back!

Pewter shoes, grey clutch, silver grey pash. I would go for a wrist corsage and a big wide brimmed hat. Not a Fascinator.

BiscuitDrama · 10/04/2019 19:59

What make is the dress? Might they do a jacket, not a matching one, but just the right sort of thing?

anitagreen · 10/04/2019 20:02

I love that dress I think it's one that you can't wear a jacket with I mean you could but you would look beautiful just having the dress and your shoes on it's lovely

Whoopstheregomyinsides · 10/04/2019 20:04

Ooh yes to wrist corsage and wide brimmed hat. Will look beautiful

AdaColeman · 10/04/2019 20:06

John Lewis have a very nice Gina Bacconi jacket in a pearly grey reduced to £80. I think the drape neckline of the dress would sit outside the edge to edge jacket.

I walked down the aisle with my son when he got married last September. His husband and mum walked down the other aisle and we met in the middle. it was such a lovely thing to be able to do and I'm so excited for you. I wore a cap sleeve dress and had a faux fur off the shoulder wrap to go over it as none of the 6,000 jackets I tried on worked, thanks to choosing a dress that was really difficult to match up! In the event it was too warm for that. I had a little cardigan for when i got cold later on - being too warm for the wrap was a miracle as I am never too warm :) That dress looks beautiful. You could always have a pashmina wrap ready on your chair for when you have left your daughter with her future spouse. I hope you have a fabulous time

TickTockBaby · 10/04/2019 20:09

Oh no my shoe link didn't work 🙄

Pinkyyy · 10/04/2019 20:12

I don't think it looks silly OP, but I'd be tempted to buy some very wide lilac ribbon and add some straps to the top and still wear it off the shoulder. It just doesn't seem to sit right and that's a shame because it's so beautiful!

Russell19 · 10/04/2019 20:35

I agree it looks like it should be off the shoulder and doesn't quite sit right. Have you tried having it in between? Half off the shoulder?

No jacket with off the shoulder and that frill, it wont look right and will feel uncomfy xx
