DH niece is turnjng 18 near month, she's massively into make up. I am not.

What suitable gift could be purchased for around £25? Please help with suggestions.

Ooooh how about some nice makeup brushes? You can never have enough brushes.

I recently bought myself these, they're fantastic quality, on par with my hideously expensive brushes, and they're fun too. They do a rose gold and ivory colourway too, but I am going through an iridescence appreciation phase at the minute Grin

There's a few lovely looking YSL sets under £30 on the Debenhams website.

Anything Benefit or MAC you can't go wrong with.

I would ask the girls on the desk.

Clearly I'm very unsophisticated Grin

The Amazon ones perform almost as well as my Hakuhodo brushes. They are ten times the fun though Grin

JenMumma · 09/04/2019 23:51

@EatenByDinosaurs I thought that when I clicked the link, then I read where you said about them being on par with your hideously expensive brushes and you went way back up in my estimation 😂🙂 And well... I Have ordered them as I just .... couldn't not. We can bask in mermaid gloriousness together and ignore the dickheads 🧜‍♀️ 🧜‍♀️ 💄 💄

EatenByDinosaurs · 10/04/2019 00:18

@JenMumma Grin Grin Grin yes! Let's bask away!

I like to wash my brushes every week, and for me that is one of the real tests of a good brush, if they keep feeling the same as they did when they were new, and don't shed, even after frequent washing.
The only brushes I've ever had which do that are these mermaid ones, and my Hakuhodo ones.

The Hakuhodo ones don't make me smile like my mermaid ones do though, and isn't being fun and enjoyable the whole point of makeup?

Surfingtheweb · 10/04/2019 00:27

100% get her a Morphe pallet. She will love you forever 😀

GlitterPixie · 10/04/2019 00:27

For that price some Morphe

OxanaVorontsova · 10/04/2019 00:32

Something like [https://www.latestinbeauty.com/collections/hd-brows-edition this]]? Went down well with my daughter!

OxanaVorontsova · 10/04/2019 00:33

Oops!

JenMumma · 10/04/2019 00:55

@EatenByDinosaurs Yes, yes and yes ! Oh and I'm totally coming round your house to play !!!!!
I'm going to be like a pig in shit mermaid in water when they arrive 😂, to be honest the quality of them is just a bonus now 😂⭐️💐🧜‍♀️⭐️

fishonabicycle · 10/04/2019 09:05

My 17 year old dd loves Morphe too. I got her a set of brushes for Christmas & she loves the palettes.
