Any women used a barbers?

I have recently had my hair cut into short pixie. I love it! Problem is my hair grows so fast that it needs trimming every two weeks. At £40 a pop I can't afford the upkeep. Anyway I called a local barbers today and asked them if they would do it, it was a young lad on the phone and he sounded a bit bemused but booked me in for tomoz. It's only £10!! Any other females used a barbers? Should I expect strange looks when i go in? Anything I should be aware of? I don't really mind, i work in engineering so used to a male environment.

I used to go to use the barbers when I had a pixie. It was a trendy type place rather than a traditional old place and they didn't blink an eye. I've since grown my hair out but yes I would go back to a barbers with a short cut.

When I have my undercut done, I'll go to a barbers to keep it short - much cheaper!

Barbers trip done, really happy with the cut and only £10! The barber told me he does a lot of females hair because it's so much cheaper Wink

Been using the same male barbers for the last 10yrs. Like you its a tenner a go. At the ladies salon, they were charging £40 Shock. The male barbers also do a better cut, probably because they cut more hair. No one blinks an eye.

My mum has a much nicer short haircut from the barber that she goes to than she has had from hairdressers over the years; it looks brilliant. She has very thick, very fast - growing hair and needs it cut so often that it would cost her a fortune otherwise.

usually if you have a college nearby that is training hairdressers they can do you a dirt cheap haircut, my cuts cost £8-12 per time and all supervised by teachers etc. Never noticed a difference!

I would avoid collages with a pixi myself as it's a difficult hair cut unlike one length cuts and not all tutors are great hairdressers to be honest.
