Black-tie event!

My DHs company are taking us to a black tie event, and I don’t know where to start really. I have completely changed shape since having children, and my old evening dresses no longer do up. I also need to cover my arms - always wear full-length sleeves or cover-ups.

So, can anyone point me in the direction of where to look, and where I might find nice evening cover-ups please? I have had a quick look at coast, Phase Eight and Monsoon, but I’ve not really seen anything I like. Where else should I be looking?

I’m a size 10, but I have a big rib cage, so lots of styles don’t work.

Any help would be very greatfully received. TIA

The John Lewis website is good - you can filter styles , sleeve lengths , brands etc . They usually have about 5000 dresses on there

Thanks speckledy. JL should probably be obvious, but I hadn’t thought about it as we don’t have a loca store. We do, however, have a Waitrose, so I will have a look and order some things to try.
