So I bought the Hush harem rip offs from Ebay...

And they are lovely! Obviously the material isn't quite as nice quality, it's thinner I guess and I don't know how they will wash. But they are 6 bloody quid as opposed to 55! They are so comfy, look really nice and the fit is great. I am a 12/14 and I ordered... 12/14 and they are perfect. I am 5ft3 and have short legs and the length is great, perhaps slightly long but they don't massively bag over the cuff like the Hush ones did on me, and there would be length room for someone with longer legs as well (which is everyone). I'm definitely going to order in some more colours, there are tonnes!

These are the ones I ordered - sorry, I don't like doing actual links as I worry that it will reveal my personal details or something!

I like the idea of these but have no idea how to wear them - top, shoes etc. How do you all wear them?

TheBiscuitStrikesBack · 06/04/2019 08:09

Place marking for a post wash update.

sparklyglitterball · 06/04/2019 08:11

Evil, I would wear them with a T-shirt or a vest top. Maybe a lightweight cardigan or denim jacket. Personally wouldn't try to dress them up as they're so casual.

Torsz · 06/04/2019 08:11

@evilharpy I'd wear with a vest top or tank top and flip flops ☺️

reallybadidea · 06/04/2019 08:12

I think I was the person who recommended them on the other thread. I've had mine for over a year, they was great and fade much less than the Hush ones. Well,I don't think they've faded at all actually!

In terms of sizing, I'm 5' 7" and they're not small in the slightest. I think at 5'8" you might still be ok with them.

travailtotravel · 06/04/2019 08:13

I've had several pairs from EBay. All wash and wear just fine. Range of colours. I size up but prefer looser fit.

greenpop21 · 06/04/2019 08:15

What are they like on your bum? Do they show every lump and bump? This is the problem with the thin ones.

LutherRalph1 · 06/04/2019 08:15

What kind of shoes would you wear with these?

Aridane · 06/04/2019 08:16

Goodness- they’re only £4.99

TrixieFranklin · 06/04/2019 08:17

@LutherRalph1 sandals / flip slips

Napssavelives · 06/04/2019 08:17

Has anyone got the link to the jumpsuit?

TrixieFranklin · 06/04/2019 08:17

Flip flops*

greenpop21 · 06/04/2019 08:18

I did have a pair of black ones that looked lovely dressed up but in a laid back way. I wore them with a black sleeveless tunic, gold strappy, flat sandals, dangly gold earrings etc. Lovely on a hot night.

Balloondog · 06/04/2019 08:19

Ooh I want a pair! Shoes wise, I'd wear converse/superga trainers, tom's slip ons or flip flops/sandals once it gets warmer....

Decormad38 · 06/04/2019 08:19

Bought oh god Im a shopaholic. I didn’t even want any before this thread!

Balloondog · 06/04/2019 08:22

And I second the request for a link to the jumpsuit, I do love a jumpsuit! Blush

reallybadidea · 06/04/2019 08:23

I wear converse or sandals with mine and a denim jacket.

BarbieJellyBabyBrain · 06/04/2019 08:27

TwistinMyMelon

Thanks for the link, they are the ones I bought (when I click on that link the first thing that comes up is my name and address, although I know that's just because I'm logged in my app but I'm paranoid!)

They are not so thin that you can see through them or anything, it's just that the Hush ones are quite thick.

I think they would be more tricky to dress up as they are quite casual, but I think the black ones would be dress up able actually. I will try and find the jumpsuit.

The photos of the different colours show completely different styles on that link...Confused

Ellapaella · 06/04/2019 08:38

I have the Hush harems in black and dress them up. I wear with a cami top tucked in, a denim jacket or blazer and heels or pointed flats. The waist on the eBay ones look quite different to the Hush ones though. The Hush ones have a very high waist band which means you can wear them with a cropped top without flashing any skin and they lend themselves well to tops being tucked in.

Yes, I noticed that too. The ones I got were the same as the majority of the ones in the link, with the straight waistaband and cuff at the bottom.

Here are the jumpsuits:

rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F282991569802

But there are tonnes of links if you type in 'harem jumpsuit'. Note, if you buy them, there are strategies to deal with the sticky out bits at the side, and also the patterned ones are a different material to the plain ones (the plain ones are like a stretchy Jersey, the patterned ones are not stretchy)

There was a big thread on the jumpsuits last year Smile

Also to say, some people hated the jumpsuit and thought it was really ugly and unflattering, I loved it!

Whynham · 06/04/2019 09:24

I bought a pair months ago and wasn't that impressed, they're too thin. I wear them as pjs bottoms now.

XiCi · 06/04/2019 09:47

I've just sold my hush harems on ebay. Usual sizing problems with Hush so they were too big and also they have a HUGE expanse of material around the waist. If you pull it up it comes to just under your bust! Folded over it looks awful with pretty much any top and makes your stomach look miles bigger than it is. Not flattering at all. Looking forward to seeing what the ebay ones are like. Loved the jumpsuit last summer. The comfiest thing ever to wear.

Hubblebubbletripletrouble · 06/04/2019 09:49

Where are they made?
