Looking for a dress for August wedding

I'm a size 12 and around 5ft8" and need a dress for a wedding in August. I liked one I seen from berrylook but can't find it again. It was chiffon with fabric under it.
I never wear skirts or dresses so could use some help. Thanks

I should add I'm 45 and have brown bobbed hair. Well it will be once it's cut.

I bought one from a website a friend recommended. It won’t let me repost the link but the site was serenity and grace. Little tip if u have a larger bust go a size up

I like the dresses from phase Eight and they suit my big bust quite nicely.

When I’m looking for clothing for formal occasions I usually go to the John Lewis website. They do loads of different brands, I just use the filter to search for their offers on dresses.

I bought a phase Eight dress about a month ago from there, really pretty, summery and perfect for a wedding, for £32 with a very good reduction. There were loads of lovely options to choose from, some of which are on my wish list for when I can next justify another one!

FFS I just did a whole looong post for you with about dresses on it, from the JL website, and lost it! Angry I can’t face doing it all again right now... Sad

But there are loads of pretty dresses to choose from! And JL is good because they have a very generous returns policy, so you can really think about your purchase and make sure you’re happy with it.

*about 30 dresses

Thank you! I've been having a look and seen a few I liked, unfortunately the one I really liked is out of stock in the 14 but available in the 12 but I need to allow for boobage. I'll keep looking. Thank you again!

I usually find occasionwear on Asos. They have a great returns policy so I usually order 3 or 4 and try on at home with shoes etc. and send back what I don't want.

My latest bargain cost me £9, bought for a May wedding

What’s your budget and what sort of colours suit you?

DiaryofWimpyMumm · 06/04/2019 14:17

I would probably spend up to £100 but the dress I liked was £125. I think more pastel shades suit me as I'm quite fair skinned and up until quite recently was blonde. My hair is naturally quite dark.

So as a start, what about this sort of thing?
Do you know what colour the bridesmaids are wearing? Always good to avoid Smile

I'll have to try find out about the bridesmaids, good point!
