Nice cross body bag

Has anyone got any good recommendations for decent leather cross body bags? I loved my battered mulberry mitzy hobo pre-kids then went for the obligatory pacapod while they were little. Now the youngest is out of nappies but I still need hands free and room for spare pants and a snack or two (plus the DC get hungry sometimes too). Am I being unrealistic hoping for something which is both lovely and can withstand getting a bit bashed about? I've been looking at the Coach pebble crossbody in oxblood but also worrying oxblood might be a bit faddy. Any great suggestions?

I have the Coach Chelsea cross body in navy and pleased with the quality. They have good half-price sales though; unless you desperately need it now, might be worth waiting a couple of months.

I've seen the oxblood colour, it's nice but be warned it is darker than it appears in pictures. Quite brown with a hint of red.

Oh worth bearing in mind arkatee I'll maybe wait and see what happens in the sale! Although I have a yearning for a new handbag now (sucker)
