Hi, any recommendations for brow products? I have dark brows but getting sparse. I'm thinking along the lines of wonder brow or anything better/cheaper?
Thanks muchly

I love the Rimmel Brow This Way pomade pencil.

Saying that I just spent £18 to get my brows waxed and tinted and they look amazing. But for diy that Rimmel pencil is fab.

I like the Mac pencil recommended on here and the Benefit stuff too. Has fibres in it.

I dye mine. The dye picks up the tiny almost invisible hairs and eyebrows look much thicker but completely natural.

@Palominoo what products do you use to dye your brows. Had mine done professionally last week and indeed they look a lot better. I’d like to save myself the money eventually!

What about on -

This is the dye I use and there is a kit on ebay at the moment

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apraise-Eyelash-amp-Eyebrow-Tint-Dye-All-Colours-Tinting-Set-Activator-Starter-Kit-/202033715047?varId=502031765389&txnId=1770327715010

I use grey 1.1 which is dark but not as deep/harsh as black and has no redness which dark brown can sometimes have and which does not suit me. I have white blonde hair and the black was too much and the grey is just right and looks natural.

I have been dyeing my eyebrows for some time and I leave on longer than recommended but I suggest you do a patch test first behind your ear in case you have a reaction.

I've tried lots of brand and this brand is the best by far.

whataboutbob · 07/04/2019 12:29

@Palominoo thanks so much for that. I’ll be ordering it. I’m now a believer in eyebrow dyeing!

Ukelou · 07/04/2019 13:02

I have just seen that you can only get one shade of tint with that kit. I am trained in eyebrow tinting and I usually mix a couple of colours to get a natural look so be careful just using one colour if you want it to look natural eyebrows aren't one colour. Also make sure you put vasolene or similar around the brows to stop staining but obviously not on the hairs. Use oil free make up cleanser to clean the area and don't mix up the tint and hydrogen peroxide until the very last minute then apply immediately.

Ukelou · 07/04/2019 13:05

Sorry just realised the brows are not one colour comment makes no sense, what I mean is you will usually need to mix a few colours to get the right colour for you.

Benefit gimme brow or goofproof pencil

Lellochip · 07/04/2019 15:54

Wunderbrow is great, but expensive. I'm just using eyeshadow at the moment because I'm too cheap I've not got round to replacing mine yet, but you can normally get it a lot cheaper on eBay and it does last quite a while so it is worth it. (It definitely doesn't last days like it claims though, I used daily)

Dyeing also a good option but I find I still need to fill with something as one brow is noticeable sparser than the other.

whataboutbob · 07/04/2019 20:26

@Ukelou thanks for taking the time to let us in on your professional tips. Putting Vaseline above and below the brows when dyeing makes total sense. I guess the 1st time might be a bit hit and miss.
