What has happened to Per Una?

Was just browsing the M&S website and had a look at the Per Una range - which I'd normally avoid.

I actually liked the look of some of the clothes. Not sure what they'll be like IRL but there seemed to be a lot of cotton garments.

Where have all the random frills and hideous polyester gone? Is there a world shortage of sequins that we don't know about?

I did have to laugh at overhearing two women behind me looking at a dress and saying it was nice and a bit modern for Marks. They were both in their 70s!

After at least 10 years of hideous, Per Una has improved?
I remember when it was launched. It was good quality and I bought a couple of items a month. Then came the descent into hideous.
My trips to M&S these days don't involve looking at any of the clothing. I head straight to the food hall and skincare department and have done for around 5 years.
