Primer for dry skin

I think I need a primer, never use one before so not sure where to start. I have dry flaky skin, type one roseacea that mainly affects my nose, currently using clinique redness relief (?) foundation that has great coverage but it really settles into fine lines and any dry bits. What primer should I try if that is even the best thing for this issue ?

Are you using serum & moisturiser first?

I like Clinique Superprimer for Redness.

Always moisturise (night cream at night too) but don't use serum.

The Maybelline Master Prime hydrating one (pale blue tube) is excellent. I have very dry skin which flakes and it's the only one I've found which lasts all day.
It makes my skin look perfect and glowing, not a spec of a flake even when I've worn makeup for 14jr days.
