Anyone had Invisalign after 40

I'm considering Invisalign to straighten my teeth. I'm having a hard time deciding though - it's so expensive and sounds like a huge commitment.

One thing that's putting me off is that now I'm over 40, my looks are changing rapidly anyway. So, I kind of think, where's the point improving my teeth, when my skin is still going to be saggy/blotchy and generally look rubbish! Will Invisalign have that much impact on my overall appearance?

I don't usually beat myself up about my looks so much - but I've been looking at Invisalign reviews on YouTube and they all seem to be super-gorgeous women in their 20s.

So, I just wondered if anyone had had Invisalign over the age of 40 and were you pleased with the results?

A lady I knew had it & loved the results. I think that the teeth can be a real giveaway of your age, if you straighten & whiten them it can take years off you. Don't forget with your skin you can get fantastic treatments that can take years off you, not facials at the beauticians, but clinical grade treatments & creams from professionals skin clinics, like hydra facials, IPL for skin pigmentation, light chemical peels, things like this can take years off your skin & investing in good skincare products will make the results last for a long time.

Yes. So glad I did it. My teeth were not awful but it has made a big difference to my smile and my confidence. Go for it. You could have those teeth for another 40 years. You're only half way there. Don't give up on yourself already.

I am 47. Had metal braces fitted in January. Seeing results already!! £400 deposit and instalments until paid in full. £1500. Best thing I have done for myself!!

I'm almost your age and currently having Invisalign. Definitely go for it. Totally worth it. You're worth it, as they say Wink

Having good teeth will take years off you as you get older. I didn't have mine until I was in my 30s.

Totally recommend it and it didn't feel like that much of a commitment really. If you find it a total pain wearing them at some times (work meetings etc) then you can just wear them for a few hours less each day and accept the treatment will take a bit longer overall. Worked for me.
And every 2-3 weeks you change to the next set and its satisfying to see each one straighter than the next.

Great! My mum had it done last year and she's 67 Grin
She loves it and you can really see the difference.
