Comfy clothes for sick days - summer edition

gotmychocolateimgood · 01/04/2019 17:41

I have ME and am too ill to get dressed properly at the moment. I spend a lot of time lying down but also do the school run and occasionally pop to the shop. Winter suggestions were fab. So far for summer I have
T shirt dress
Thin cotton dungarees
Harems
Silky pyjama type trousers

Anything else I could throw on to feel half decent? Thanks Smile

I'm sorry you are ill.

What's your budget?

Smart sports leggings? very versatile
An off one shoulder sweatshirt with a vest top underneath and good trainers?
More comfy dresses cover a multitude of sins with comfortable shoes and tights when the weather is cold.

Have a look at hush stuff. Plenty of slip on trousers. It can be expensive but even if you look for some ideas.
I love their amies. They have animal print joggers. The t-shirts are not that great but I love their longline vests for wearing underneath things although you can get that type of thing in Matalan. They have lovely leopard leggings and star ones that you could wear with a sloppy long top or a long tee.

They also have a few jersey dresses that might interest you. You could also try white stuff if you like jersey dresses with print and laods of tunics but some of the patterns and colours can be a bit garish but you can choose selectively.

I like the look of hush... Will try to recreate the look on a smaller budget!

I did think of a jumpsuit but big bum would look ridiculous in it (although having lost my appetite I'm slimming down a bit).

Has anyone seen cropped joggers with a stretchy waist anywhere?

Could you point me in the direction of the silky pj type trousers? They sound ideal for the early post partum days

Momzilla82 · 01/04/2019 20:16

I've worn a variation on these for a long time- fellow spoonie. Don't do a jumpsuit if you even vaguely struggle with continence ...

I'm continent, luckily! Those bamboo trousers are lush.

My silk pj trousers were from H&M last year - not sure if there's anything similar in stick this year but could be worth a look.
