Moisturiser, primer and foundation recommendations?

I'm closer to 50 than 40 and I appeared to have done all my ageing in the last 6 months. I'm also trying to use up my random purchasers so I'm down to the last few days of moisturiser.

So I'm looking for recommendations for

  1. A moisturiser
  2. Eye cream maybe
  3. Primer which helps with the
  4. Foundation

I've normal skin very red around the nose (I haven't had needle treatment for a year or so now), wrinkles where you might expect, dark circles under the eyes.

I'd like to just look a bit more alive, or at least like I might not peg it in the next few weeks....

Forgot to add, I was thinking to try and take half a day off to get to the shops so if there's a makeup counter you would recommend, that might take pity on an almost invisible woman, that would be ace

I don't really have any specific recommendations (sorry). I guess it depends on your skin type a bit.

I have just started using Weleda Skin Food and it's helped my dry skin massively.

Have a look at Caroline Hirons blog/website/you tube. She's a bit of a skincare expert.

Look Fabulous Forever - their primer is amazing.

Are you using actives in your skin care routine? Have you looked at Paula's Choice? There is a range for every skin type and concern. Specifically I'd look at the Resist line for ageing skin. I use the 8% AHA which has been great. 25% off until midnight tonight I think. I am no expert on make-up, but I do really like the IT Cosmetics CC cream as it's light, but covers what it needs to on me Grin. I also use Frezyderm 50 SPF (get it on Amazon), which feels the same to me as Smashbox Photo Finish primer. Hopefully more knowledgeable folk will be along soon!

I got given a tube of this works.

I have quite oily skin - am turning 50 this year. This seems to help keep my make up in place - normally seems to slide off!
