Nude, silver or gold ballerinas?

I'm tempted to buy a decent and hopefully comfortable pair of ballerina flats to go with dresses and trousers this summer. I have a worn out pair of gold m&s ones from years ago so I was thinking of going for nude inthese ones. I can't decide whether they'd look hideous or good though.

So what do you think? Nude? Or would silver or gold be a better bet?

Of those, only the silver.

The nudes are dreadful.

The golds are gaudy.

I have to say - £100 is pretty expensive for what they are.

I like the colours but ballerinas are awful. They make even slim women look squat and flat footed and they are awful bad news for your feet and gait.

It's euros and they've 20%off plus they're leather. So £69 for leather shoes which is reasonable.

Paying ££ for ballerinas in nuts.

The nudes look too much like proper ballet shoes in colour. The silver is the best.

I get ballerinas from Dorothy Perkins. Tonnes of colours. Cheap and comfy.

Happygolucky009 · 31/03/2019 08:16

@madcatlady could you suggest alternatives to ballerinas?

Palominoo · 31/03/2019 08:19

Nude will get grubby very quickly, all I can think of is Amy Winwhouse's dirt and blood stained ones.

Gold is OK if you're perma tanned, o er 50 and like going on Cruises.

Silver will be fine.

However, I hate ballerina shoes unless you are very slim, tall and young as on anyone else they look hideous.

Taneartagam · 31/03/2019 08:27

I like them as they are easy to put on and take off. The gold is a bit brash, isn't it? Are these any better? The strap is a bit primary school and you can't order Clark's online in Ireland so not sure I could even get them. My first priority is comfort.

If they're for summer, what about these? Gabor shoes are seriously comfy.

I like the silver ones and they will be very comfortable. Have you checked Brand Alley? Sometimes they have Fitflops at good prices.

Taneartagam · 31/03/2019 10:03

I have sandals Bodgers - lovely clunky Birkenstocks! I want something for when my toes don't feel like coming out, or which are a little neater than Birkenstocks.

Never heard of Brand Alley Marmite, i will have a look. Thanks

Silver

The gold and nude look cheap and nasty.

Stinkytoe · 31/03/2019 10:07

Those fitflop ballerinas are exceptionally comfy.

I have them in black but have seen the nude in person and it’s a much nicer colour in real life.

Silver ones look the best.
Gold tone looks a bit gawdy and brash.
I don't like the nude tone either.
