Help me hide my pregnancy at work...

I'm only 8 weeks pregnant, my boobs have ballooned to a 36hh, and I'm super bloated. Any suggestions for some comfy smart casuals I can wear to the office? I'm not ready to tell my secret yet. I'm 5ft10, size 14, with a fairly big bum to match the boobs...

Go for the celebrity style - loose mac-style coat, large handbag held in front. This might mean a large chunky coatigen for inside? I dunno really, but for what it's worth, I didn't notice one of the school mums was pregnant until she was about 5 months gone!

I would go for something like this.

I wore long loose shirt dresses, long cardigans and peplum tops to disguise my bump. I was in maternity jeans by 7 weeks!
Good luck, I wore a dress I threw on one morning at 10 weeks and everyone guessed, it was tighter than I expected and my bump was obvious!

I know she is petite but the ideas can work on any body shape

Thanks Peach, great suggestions. I'm also already rocking the maternity trousers-so comfy!

Simply, those dresses are gorgeous but I'm just too booby for them I fear.

Good point Ark, I never notice when people are pregnant either!

I'm currently in your situation OP and I do as PeacheMelba78 does - have invested in a couple of long cheaper shirt dresses and cardigans and peplum tops for now. Strangely enough I'm not showing as much as I did with DD.

And also - on the odd occasion I need tighter fitting clothes then it's spanx for me... Lots of black and navy making an appearance in my wardrobe now too!

Bring doughnuts and muffins in everyday, people will think you're just getting fat.

Although maternity trousers are so comfy that I never want to take them off, I find they definitely make my bump look bigger. Normal trousers but in a bigger size were much better when trying to hide things. Agree with wrap dresses too.

Big floaty scarf, no one can quite see your tummy at all.

I wore this style top until I announced about 14/15 weeks as I wasn't ready to tell. I have a large chest which allowed the top to flow over my belly :)

I wore a lot of black vest tops under open thin cardigans so you couldn't see anything from the side.

Teddybear45 · 29/03/2019 20:49

A peplum jacket over your dresses should do it.
