Looking for nice jumpers without wool!

Unfortunately I’ve become allergic to wool (including merino, cashmere and alpaca), so I’m trying to find jumpers that don’t contain it, and it’s really hard to find nice ones! If anyone has spotted any that they could recommend, I’d be super grateful!

Me too OP. It's hard to find nice non wool jumpers. Placemarking in hope!

What's your style?

emotionalaffair · 28/03/2019 16:39

I would like a fine knit black cowl neck jumper.

Abcd3 · 28/03/2019 19:16

Wow, thanks so much for these links!!

As regards style, I like classic things (e.g. simple round neck/V-neck/polo neck/cowl neck), but would also like to find some jumpers with a bit of originality to them. (I'd avoid floral or spotty patterns).

This is what I need too. A woolly pulley without the wool!
I have a few from M&S and H&M, but I've found them by walking around the shops rubbing jumper sleeves on my cheeks until I found one I liked that didn't make me itch!!

Marking my place as I have the same problem...

Skittlesandbeer · 29/03/2019 07:26

Lordy, I have the opposite problem. Need real, thick wool jumpers against proper cold. It’s getting tough to find any, unless you know a knitter, have loads of cash or have the time to search through umpteenth charity shops.

All I see anywhere is synthetic jumpers. Made to look chunky and warm, but actually you’d be warmer in a bin liner. I really am surprised you’re not finding a full selection on the high st and online...

Abcd3 · 29/03/2019 07:38

I guess the thing is that a lot of jumpers with synthetic fibres also contain some wool, so while they’re not as warm as a woollen jumper, they’re still a problem for those of us with wool allergies. Have you tried woolovers, @Skittlesandbeer? They have loads of pure wool jumpers at very good prices.

Wool everywhere, and I am also the same. It's itchy and shrinks in the wash unless you wash on cold (and then it smells).
