Going shopping tomorrow - any help?

I'm finding the change in weather very challenging at the moment and have no idea what to wear. I'm going shopping tomorrow so would really appreciate some suggestions for the next couple of months. I have a few summer dresses for when it gets hotter but nothing for this inbetween stage.

I am a SAHM so fairly casual, I'm 5'8 size 16 but my main problem is I have the dreaded c-sec overhang. As I have a long body I have always struggled to find tops which were long enough but I'm really finding it difficult to find anything even slightly flattering now. Also making things difficult is that my shape has changed - used to be an hourglass (and three stone lighter!) so would buy clothes that nipped in at the waist - I now have no waist, I'm like a barrel. I feel like I cant wear loose tops as tight trousers look hideous and visa versa.

I feel most comfortable in a dress but need them to be a decent length and not highlight the overhang. I don't really know what footwear would look right - I feel stumpy in a dress and trainers but I'm not a huge fan of ballerinas, I also would need to wear tights/leggings.

I've been looking at relaxed fit denim jackets as I just cant figure out what jacket would go with dresses - any thoughts?

I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment, my body feels very alien. I've been on the pregnant/breastfeeding wagon for 7 years and I just want a couple of things I feel ok in.

Any suggestions/advice?

I've found a couple of nice dresses in Fat Face, of all places, recently. I also got a jumpsuit there, which I love, and have been wearing with fishnets and trainers.

Thanks, will have a look. What's their length like, I often find dresses I like but they're about 2/3 inches too short!

This is cute - would be nice with a denim jacket when the weather is warmer.

I'm a shortie, so can't really help re length.

I love it but I have a feeling it would be too short in the body, hopefully they have it in store tomorrow so I can try it.

Find Styled by Susie on Fb or insta. Lots of ideas esp a platform trainer or thick sole to balance shape out.
Warehouse have some good looser dresses I wear with next high waisted jeggings. Next have some dresses that are quite flattering at the moment too.
