Checking in to the new thread. Agree that Gabriella Windsor's fiancé sounds like a very decent type. Which is good as her previous boyfriend sold his story to the press which must've been very embarrassing for her.

He didn't really "sell his story to the press", it was part of quite a long and interesting piece on race and the royal family. Worth a read actually.

Happy Mothers Day to you all! Very interesting to see the # on Twitter in honour of M&H - #GlobalSussexBabyShower. Fans are donating to some of their charities, like Sentebale, The Mayhew and CAMFED.

No doubt someone is already using that against Meghan, even though it's been started by fans rather than her and Harry!

Lovely idea to donate to those charities - how altruistic of M and H, however I find it a little incongruous - the public are asked to donate to these well deserving charities.....and Meghan wears a £65000 engagement dress, shoes that cost £ hundreds, day dresses that cost £ thousands etc.
I'm not saying she has to wear Primark, but she could be just as stylish / beautiful in far cheaper clothing and jewellery.
It must be galling for some of the recipients/ volunteers of those charities to see the conspicuous consumption shown by M and H.

@beanaseireann Absolutely! If only Meghan followed Kate's example and wore sensible £35 shoes from primark.

One25 reported an upsurge in donations after Meghan's banana signing. So I don't think they'd mind the Givenchy dresses if the publicity means they're getting more money in for their work.

The high necked nightie at BP a few weeks ago with the white heels were apparently Her stylists choice. With messy hair, I can see how that could be fashionable. But the colour was awful and Kate’s perfect hair made the look too surrendered wife as opposed to high fashion.

the Duchess of Sussex, seemingly less hidebound by established Royal style and definitely not feeling the need to court favourable public opinion by dressing inexpensively.

I do wonder if the DM go through the article afterwards and edit it to suit their Kate v Meghan narrative.
